He hasn't really regressed. 2010 was a mirage. He had a bunch of terrible games, and got a lopsided TD/Int ratio because they kept giving him short TDs in the red zone. He wasn't very good that year, either.

He was being hidden by a great running game and an offensive coordinator who understood what he could and what he couldn't do.
The offense as a whole was run so well that Cassel only threw 7 picks all year - and he had two 2-interception games. He was never lighting it up, he just played in 14 games and only had three picks over that span. That's why his rating was high and the team managed to get blown out in a wild card game. He didn't turn the ball over. He was never going to win a title, but his very best was good enough for the team to make the playoffs. |

Why has Cassel Regressed since 2010?
Vision impairment.
You see, Matt Cassel is a very large, mouth-breathing flat fish, At birth, he had one eye on each side of his head, and swam like a salmon. After six months, one eye migrated to the other side, making Matt look more like a flounder. At the same time, the stationary-eyed side darkens to match the green grass of Arrowhead, while the other side remains white. This colour scheme disguises Matt from above (blending with the turf) and from below (blending into the stadium lights) and is known as countershading. In short, it's very difficult to see the entire field when one's eyes are drifting ever closer together. |

And a lot of them do. FAX |

Look at his numbers against .500 teams and over in 2010. They are comparable to waht he is doing now. Nothing changed except for the strength of schedule |
Would you say he regressed or that 10 was a statistical anomaly?...
