I think my time in Phoenix has passed. As beautiful as it was... From Los Angeles to Phoenix to Waterloo in 10 years. At this rate I'll be in Illinois by Christmas.

Personally, I kinda miss the Midwest. Endless skies, distant horizons, swaying green wheat as high as an elephunk's eye ... and fresh, homegrown tomatoes. Man, I miss fresh, homegrown tomatoes.

I don't miss getting beaned by a half-full can of 3.2 beer thrown from an automobile full of drunken schoolchildren who just set their dad's car's upholstery on fire while trying to light a Salem the wrong way. I don't miss that.

Well yeah I never said they would be quality people of color.
I am 2.5 hours from Rocky Point, you can hit Chicago in about the same time. Not the beach but still one of the greatest cities in Amercia. Every kind of person and whatever else you want.
From the Cedar Rapids airport you can hit a direct flight to Vegas on Allegian Air for a little bit of nothing.
Minneapolis is a very progressive city with a hot music scene.

You can hit a lot of places and still come back to the peace and beauty of God's country.
