You say he makes alot of bonehead moves. Completely on the contrary. Morningstar is out there because he doesn't make many mistakes. The problem most people have with Brady is his potential and that he doesn't make many explosive plays, not that he makes boneheaded plays. He easily has the best assist to turnover ratio on the entire team. With the exception of Sherron, he leads the team in minutes, and he only has 15 turnovers on the entire year. The guy is shooting 48% from three point land for god sakes. He needs to shoot MORE. I've completely changed my tune about him from the beginning of the year, and he's getting better defensively each game.

JMO dude. I've seen him turn the ball over, get owned on defense and miss some crushing shots. I haven't broken down every play, but that's what I've seen to date.

Today is a much different story. He made several really good plays on both ends of the floor. And that's what you've gotta have from a guy like him. He's not going to win many physical battles, but he's gotta make heady, smart plays and hit the open shot when it is there. He did that today. Hopefully he can continue to perform at this level.

I agree with Bwillie because i was completely against morningstar playing more then 5-10 minutes a game. He has played the best D of all guards and continues to hit the open 3's, I have gone from just hoping for him to get benched to thinking he needs to be on the court to open our offense up.

The entire team has turned the ball over a bunch, his defense has been excellent even when guarding Budinger from UofA who is a NBA guy and has a lot of height on Brady.

That's fair. Maybe I should take it a little easier on Morningstar. There are a lot of guys making bonehead plays.

To change the subject a bit, I agree that the offense needs to be opened up with some good outside shooting. Collins can hit sometimes, but a lot of times, he is needed to create off the dribble. Maybe you're right and Morningstar is the man for the job.

Like I said earlier, I'm giving the benefit of the doubt to Self. I don't really have any preconcieved notions that we have a chance to win any championships.

If Morningstar continues to hit shots at the rate he is (48% or something?), I'm fine with him continuing to play these minutes.

However, I expect good one-on-one players will expose him in the future.

Did you just edit your post to say "a couple of years ago," as opposed to "four years ago?"

Meh, I don't care.

This win should lockup a tourney spot.

Self has already been putting Morningstar on the best scorer the other team has .... what more do you want?

he has defended everything from:

Temple's leading scorer, a jitterbug senior guard who averages 20 ppgs. Morningstar held him to 3 points in first half without fouling.

to

Arizona's lead scorer(until he faced morningstar) 6'7 shooting forward, Chase Budinger. Morninstar held him to 3 points in 30 minutes ... again without fouling. Budinger ending up getting 5 points ... 12 points below his average.

so morningstar defends 5'5" scoring guards to 6'7 shooting forwards and held both down without fouling.

still bitching about morningstar ??

he avg 7.8 ppg and shoots close to 50% from 3pt range ... he doesn't turn the ball over and he can play 30+ minutes each without fouling out even though he draws the top defensive assignments that used to be saved for Brandon Rush.

guess what .... Morningstar didn't even play last year so he is still learning.

You've brought nothing to the table in this thread.

Nothing to debate.

Nothing to spark conversation.

Just mindless "You're a douche, but I agree with you," bullshit.

You are a terrible poster. Do something else for entertainment.

I'm going to be bold... live on the edge...

And assume Bill Self knows what he's doing.

I was at a dinner party, and some guy was criticizing Cole Aldrich?

I looked at the dude like, "Seriously? You have a problem with Cole?"

It was then I realized that just about everybody outside of Bill Self has no real clue.

No offense here douche, but judging by your posts, I'm pretty sure I know more about basketball than you.
