I vaped and smoked for a few days till I got the right combo of vapor, flavor, nicotine dose and throat hit.

Yesterday was the first day I have ever been tabacco free in my life time, including when I was still in the womb! (I did quit when I was 22 for 30 days once)

I never thought I would see the day. If the patch was 15% percent effective and the gum 20% effective in helping to fight urges, the E-Cig is probably 70 to 75%.

I decided to really test myself. When I used the patches and gum, I also had to quit coffee and beer, there was just no way I could have any of that while trying to quit. Well, with the E-Cig I've been able to have my morning coffee and evening brews without having to light up a real butt.

Day 2 and I could almost say I'm on cruise control. From 2 1/2 packs a day to zero overnight. Sure, the craving is still there, but now I can handle it. During previous attempts, I could not think of anything other than the need for a smoke. It was all consuming. Every minute that went by seemed like an hour. The difference between E-Cigs and patches and gums is night and day.

I start the morning with 18mg cartridges and use them during the day. I go to 24's if I have a beer in the evening. I slept better last night than I have in years. It's different for everyone as I have read on some message boards, especially the E-Cig board. This morning I was not hacking away as usual the first half hour I got out of bed. Some coughing, but not much.

If you ever wanted to quit, I doubt it will ever get any easier than using an E-cig. It still isn't easy by any stretch, but until now, quitting for me was a pipe dream. Now it's a reality.

I got the Vape4Life XL starter kit. 2 XL automatic batteries, a USB bypass supply (replaces the batteries while at the keyboard). I will likely by two XL manual batteries soon. So far I wanted to keep it simple and use one supplier. V4L has a good reputation for products and customer service.

There is also a great message board for E-Cigging:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/

V4L has their own sub forum there along with the other suppliers. Consumers post product reviews, there's a forum for newbies, very helpful.

Bloog is making some noise and getting good reviews. That would be my other choice as a supplier.

I just ordered the ecig, an extra 5 cartridges, and the equivalent of about 3 cartons of smokes for $90 out the door, shipped to my house. The ecig comes with 2 batteries, 2 atomizers, and 5 preloaded cartridges.

This is a rockin deal for anyone looking for something like this. I'll report back once it arrives. He said he got his in like 3 days. This company is in IL.

Ok I bought the 35.00 kit. it says it comes with marlboro cartridges is this what contains the liquid? I am a bit confused as to whether I need to buy liquid with this kit.

Damn never mind looks like I have to.

I go through about 5 cartridges a day. The V4L cartos which have the atomizer built in can be refilled with juice. I'm not familiar with ciqnot.
