If I'm in the mood for trance I usually resort back to Paul Oakenfold. This is one of the if not the best Trance album ever made.

The electro stuff you are complaining about has been around for over 20 years.

The disco stuff from the mid/late 70's was also a from a time where music in general was largely a wasteland.
