Spoon is a sideline to sideline guy, but I don't see him as a big run stuffer.

Until now. He couldn't get past some sorry safeties on the depth chart over the past few years. They signed Chris Hope because they don't have much faith in him.

We obviously are gonna run the ball and go with the PA pass for the most part. Who should we run at? Where are they week on D?

Not according to the world's foremost NFL ratings site.

BOTH of Atlanta's safeties are fine in run support. They're gonna be fine.

Well, Peria Jerry was not good against the run last year.

But I read something the other day from Falcons fan, on falcoholic.com I think, about him being improved this preseason.

He's a young player who didn't play much until last season.

The rest of their D is pretty good against the run. Both DEs, both OLB. Safeties are fine.

Akeem Dent is unproven at MLB so we'll see.

Some here say the same thing about Baldwin.

Looking at the Falcons roster, they don't have alot of depth. But they have alot of really good starters, and a really good qb to make up for it.

Yes, well, not so much based on preseason.

O.city 09-05-2012 06:08 PM

Falcons got run all over during the preseason.

I'm wondering without Hali, how we rush the passer. We can't just continuously drop 8 into coverage.

That's what Romeo has always done.

Especially against explosive offenses.

O.city 09-05-2012 06:36 PM

IF we are actually healthy, with this group we could possibly get away with doing that, especially with Berry. But with the Falcons skill guys it will be tough.

It might actually be a good idea to drop 8, try to force the Falcons hand into throwing the ball underneath, come up and make the tackle and hope to get stops.

Let Powe and Poe 1 gap and penetrate.

O.city 09-05-2012 07:36 PM

It would be great if Poe, Powe, and Jackson (just a bit isn't too much to ask) could rush the hell out of Ryan.

I'm sorry. "I was trying to say he wasn't elite and he was good." That was a typo.
