So essentially everyone is hoping that he is a pussy and overreacting...?

His reaction seemed like it was more than a rolled ankle. I hope he is just a pussy. :-)

KU played well for the first time since December tonight. Great defensive effort even if they missed most of the shots they usually make. Could have been an absolute blowout if they did.

Too bad about Ben, could be a sprain. That could keep him out a while. I don't think he's the player they can least afford to lose to injury, though. That would be Withey and the defensive presence he brings to this team.

@KansasSports

RT @cjmoore4: Self says on radio interview McLemore has a sprained ankle. Should be OK. McLemore says he heard a pop.

Just shoot him with up with some morphine before each game.

It almost worked in Varsity Blues!

Self says ankle sprain. Says Ben heard a pop but doc checked it out and thinks a few days off it might be enough. Hope he's right! #kubball

Is a pop normal?

Self on McLemore's ankle: "I would imagine, with a few days off, he'll be OK." Everyone breathe now.

Good thing Texas is terrible.

I was just going to type the same thing. I've rolled my ankle way worse than that and more than a few times and I don't think I've ever heard it pop.

On the road though anything is possible for the home team. It's a good thing defense travels.

I agree with this.

Uhhh, yeah.

Still not terribly worried.

Texas is ****ing atrocious.

shitgoose 01-14-2013 10:28 PM

I've heard mine pop. Rolled and sprained many times. Every time it has happened to me my initial reaction was intense pain and then "****" why did this have to happen. It will probably linger for awhile

veist 01-14-2013 10:29 PM

FWIW, I've had a "knuckle cracking"-like pop when I've turned an ankle before.

KC_Connection 01-14-2013 10:30 PM

Texas' defense is quite good (12th best defensive efficiency in the country). Their offense is abysmal (253rd best offensive efficiency in the country, which is quite ridiculous and even worse than Texas Tech to give some perspective).

They should be able to get by without McLemore on Saturday provided they actually give an effort.
