The dancing frog is an awsome sports analogy. I'd argue that the closest thing the Royals have is Luke Hochevar. He occasionally flashes ace stuff, but in the 5th inning, he just sits on the stage and ribbits.

Fans don't defect. The ones that do are pretending to be fans. And good riddance.

I have been a fan of this team, this uniform, since their Super Bowl win. I have lived through the hopelessness of the late70s-80s and the hopeful 90s and early 00s. Bottom line is it's the name, the logo and the uniform you stay loyal to. People who fill those uniforms come and go. We can only hope that one of these times, finally the right group of people will fill them and we will see glory again. Any deviation from that degree of loyalty disqualifies one from calling himself a fan.
