I don't see them moving up for a Qb next year, unless Alex Smith plays Cassel bad, which won't happen.

Dolphins don't need Albert. If they needed him, they would have already done the deal. I'd say it would likely be the Lions if a deal is doen.

The intention has been to get compensation for Albert. Why are you going to tag him again at a 20% increase? Take the 2 now and be rid of a guy who doesn't want to be here.

No Gm ever was put on a short leash 3 months into the job.

I'm a moron? Yeah Coaches or GM's never get fired after one year? Try again douche bag.

I didn't say it would be the final nail, just saying it would be another one based off his start.

I also never said to tag him again, but trading him now for a pick next year would be stupid. Why make another team better this year and meanwhile we take all the risk based on a pick next year. If they didn't have the contingency plan that he may have to play out his tag, then that's another knock on them. Let him play it out and either negotiate in earnest or let him walk for the comp pick.

I also think it's funny that there is this perceived notion that Albert doesn't want to be here. Sure he wants more and too much money, but so does half the league I'm sure. To my knowledge he hasn't said he doesn't want to be here and it's just speculation on the part of other irrational morons.

I don't get that Albert doesn't want to be HERE.
Wherever he ends up playing he wants to make a certain amount of money to play the LT position.

O.city 04-28-2013 09:41 PM

A coach and Gm isn't getting fired after 1 year, unless we go winless.

Yeah, no way you franchise him again. Either let him walk or sign him to a deal to play wherever. If he sets the world a blaze at LT this year and Fisher is great at RT, just re up Albert and move on I guess.

I don't see the Chiefs ever giving Albert a long term deal like what he feels he's worth.

I think that was the real hang up for Miami and the pick. If they could have gotten Albert at 7.5 they would have been more willing to part with the 2 at the end.

But that's just my speculation.

Which isn't in the plans here, therefor, he doesn't want to be here.

Get a 2nd + 3rd or 4th from Miami, then package our 1st, both 2nds and that 3rd/4th from Miami to draft Teddy Bridgewater.

PROFIT

they obviously don't need him

and they aren't going to offer more than they did this year, if they offer anything at all which i doubt

and we aren't trading 5 picks for Bridgewater

otherwise, solid post

chiefzilla1501 04-28-2013 09:43 PM

I really don't care how the Chiefs get a 2nd, whether that could have been done for the 2013 draft or if it can be done in the 2014 draft. As long as it gets done, it's a good deal.

And honestly, if Miami was only offering a #54, then 2014 is the better way to go. It's highly unlikely that any teams KC wants to trade with are going to do worse than a #54 pick in the 2014 draft. And quite possible the Chiefs could end up with a pick in the mid 30's.

Honestly, I think we've seen that no one will give Albert the deal he wants/wanted or feels he's "worth". IF this doesn't show him that, nothing will.

I'd say if we could get him for 7 per etc, he'd be a Chief. 4 y 30 mil or something similar.

Thanks for proving my point, moron.

There is ZERO % chance Clark Hunt is turning this organization over again in one year.

penbrook 04-28-2013 09:45 PM

Reid always takes care of his players.

If Albert just plays where they ask him too he will see a long term deal.

Sure, but the only problem is we play an entire year of football without any compensation for Albert if he's traded now.

Or, just keep him and squeeze a year out of him. He's probably going to play balls out as he wants a contract from someone.

RunKC 04-28-2013 09:45 PM

Dolphins don't need Albert? They really feel comfortable starting Jonathan Martin at LT?

Ok lulz. Good luck with that Jeff Ireland.

If WE could keep Albert at 7.5 then no need to trade him.

Obviously they do. They didn't trade for Albert, so I'm not sure what else says otherwise at this point.
