I think it's a practice that needs to be stopped. Haze all you want. But don't involve big chunks of money. A few years ago, it was reported that Dez Bryant had to pay $50,000+ for dinner. I don't care how much these players make. That has to stop.

We'll have to agree to disagree. Just about time for kick off. Good luck to you guys today.

Especially with the new rookie wage scale.

Welp. Harassing voicemails and text messages? Asking to finance a $15,000 trip to vegas?

And then this. This is probably the appropriate way to handle this:

Bullying people you expect to come in and play like veterans right away is flat out ****ing stupid and it should stop.

Probably because the Dolphins O-Line would go from a dumpster fire to a raging dumpster fire. Doesn't excuse keeping the shithead, but gotta win dem foobaww games

Yes expecting guys who are being paid millions to perform at a high level is stupid.

Thanks for the tip. You are a fountain of wisdom.

I honestly just don't see how you get intimidated into picking up a 7 figure tab for some shit you didn't even attend/rack up by yourself.

I'm flabbergasted.

What happened wasn't right, but being mentally tough is part of any profession. You can't let assholes ruin your life.

No doubt. I just have a much bigger problem with a guy like Incognito who seems to take douche baggery to a new level. And the organization that didn't seem to do anything to stop it.

Martin isn't a rookie anymore. And he is a teammate. If there's any truth to taking bullying beyond simple teasing or hazing, Incognito should be cut yesterday.

Ryan Leaf and Dez Bryant tried to fight back. They got called out for being whiney. When Leaf refused to pay for an expensive meal, Seau stole his credit card, paid the tab anyway, and then clocked him in practice. You aren't allowed to fight back because you have a full roster of veterans ready to make your life worse.

This shit has to stop when it involves money. Where does it stop? Forcing players to spend money on completely unnecessary things just because it's a ritual is beyond dumb.

Be a man and get back to work, you have to expect bullying in the NFL

I'm not sure what bullying has to do with that, but sure.

These dudes are ****ing huge, I'll admit. I, like KCUnited, was extremely small and always looked about four years younger than I actually was. There were a few instances of "bullying" I dealt with, but they were mostly isolated and I couldn't even bring myself to say it was true bullying. I got made fun of and ****ed with a bit just like every other normal and abnormal person..

So, I don't know- I just can't see allowing myself to be intimidated into doing shit monetarily like these guys are. If someone comes to steal my wallet I'm ****ing fighting for my life, no joke. I'd never let someone take something from me while I could still throw a punch.

EDIT: Unless my life were threatened. Then you can have all my money; I don't give a shit.

I think the question is if this went beyond teasing and hazing, to just being really mean-spirited. And to me, that shit has no place in a locker room. He's your teammate for crying out loud.

By the way... if this was just normal locker room stuff, then yeah, man up. I'm assuming that Incognito went way over the line.

Incognito is just a piece of shit and why should straight up bullying be tolerated in any work place?

Dolphins announced they have reached out to the NFL and asked it to conduct an objective and thorough review of Jonathan Martin situation.
