but since we didn't draft him, we pretend a 2nd round QB winning 8 games is no better or more valuable than teh #1 pick in the draft managing to be one of the worst RTs in the league, when he wasn't just injured that is

I hated the pick.

But given where he's from, and futher given that his offseason surgury delayed his offseason development, I think waiting for another season before labeling him would be reasonable.

Alex was a successful game manager. He didn't make mistakes, he didn't make stupid decisions, he didn't hurt his team. Alex also scrambled for first downs and avoided sacks.

It's pretty rare for even a vet QB to switch teams and immediately be clicking with everyone on the offense. It takes time.

And really I have no right to be mad a Fisher. He didn't choose to be the number 1 pick. We reached for him...
