Bourbonnais isn't as terrible. Far from great, but not terrible like Kankakee, imo. Depends on the neighborhood really.
Kankakee ****ing sucks. Just terrible. Horrible place to live and be. Heroin deaths have been on the rise now for a few years there. Whatever I do in life I hope I am far, far away from Kankakee, Illinois. I drive to Kankakee everyday for summer classes. Saddening. To make things worse, the most note-worthy thing about Kankakee is the highway construction that has been going on I-57 for years now and will continue going on for years.

I'm in the Dayton area. Fairborn, right next to Wright-Patterson. I really like the area.
