I have zero Andrew Luck hatred whatsoever. Zero.

I'm just not someone who hands out any QB an excuse for playing terribly. Maybe Peyton Manning but ONLY because this board just eviscerates Manning and Romo at every corner for any bad game or any bad throw while constantly giving guys like Luck and Brady every pass imaginable like they can do no wrong.

and hell, this board has turned me into a Brady apologist at this point, too.

Andrew Luck is not an elite QB and has never been an elite QB up to this point in his NFL career.

He has not carried that team to anything other than OBVIOUS division championships over the worst division in the NFL.

The crowning of Andrew Luck is ridiculous. Last year the entire board just took a giant shit on Russell Wilson in the NFCCG thread for playing terrible football and no one said a damn word about Luck playing even worse in the AFCCG that night.

Andrew Luck has been nothing more than Philip Rivers good (at best) to this point of his career.

He doesn't deserve any excuses for how lousy he played last night. If that was Romo, he would have been KILLED. Instead? Stupid Pagano! OMG GM, get him in a line!?!??!?!!??! WTF!

he gets every excuse imaginable for playing garbage football ... that doesn't mean I hate him, it just means, unlike this board, I'm realistic

Hootie 09-22-2015 09:00 PM

the highest QBR Luck had in December 2014 was 39

39.

They went 3-1

the notion Andrew Luck has carried that team is hilarious. The TRUTH is ... Andrew Luck is the best QB in the worst division in football and has won because that's what usually happens ...

Andrew Luck
Blake Bortles
Ryan Mallet
Marcus Mariota

Andew Luck
Blake Bortles
whoever Houston played at QB last year
whoever Tennessee played at QB last year

GEE, I CAN'T BELIEVE ANDREW LUCK IS WINNING DIVISIONS AND FINDING POSTSEASON SUCCESS WITH A GUARANTEED HOME GAME EVERY POSTSEASON!? TRULY ODD!

After that game they switched the line around and it played better.

Hootie 09-22-2015 09:05 PM

I do love how Andrew Luck, from the usual suspects, gets every excuse while ignoring everything else from the usual suspects on this board

"Alex Smith won 11 games in 2013 after the Chiefs won 2 the year before!"

THE SCHEDULE WAS TOO EASY! ANYONE COULD'VE DONE THAT!

(ignores the fact that's exactly how it has been for Andrew Luck his entire career)

"Alex Smith can't do well because his line is garbage!"

OMG YOU'RE A MORON QB'S MAKE THEIR LINES BETTER -- IT'S NOT A PROBLEM FOR OTHER ELITE QB'S!

(Andrew Luck suddenly can't succeed because his line isn't good enough)

Titty Meat 09-22-2015 09:08 PM

Doesn't Andrew Luck have more playoff wins than the Chiefs do the last 40 years?

oh. ok.

I guess Andrew Luck is the best QB in the NFL. They just need to switch their line around and he'll finally start playing like an elite QB rather than a faster Matt Stafford.

thanks for clarification

is this supposed to mean anything?

so does Mark Sanchez

omg breaking news

so does T.J. Yates

oh wait

it's chiefsplanet

suddenly we're crediting QB's 100% of the credit for every playoff win again

because you know that makes a lot of sense

Hootie 09-22-2015 09:12 PM

Luck 13th ... despite winning a division (shit division) and throwing for 40 TD's

this is the NFL equivalent to bWAR

it works ... and it's accurate

Luck is not an elite NFL QB [yet] and has never shown to be. Time to stop making excuses for the guy. It's his 4th year.

The Colts do play in a poor division. They still defeated the AFC West champ and the AFC North 2nd place team in the playoffs. I'd like to know which part of this great team is carrying Luck.

Their leading rusher last year was Trent Richardson.

Trent Richardson.

Trent.

Richardson.

He's not even in the league anymore. Was is it his 3.3 ypc average that carried Luck to victory? He definitely took a lot of pressure off the passing game. I really don't know why they even attempted to pass the ball. Their 2nd leading WR was Reggie Wayne, who is no longer in the NFL. Or was it their elite 19th ranked defense that gave up 30+ to the Broncos, 40+ to the Cowboys, 40+ to the Patriots twice and 50+ against the Steelers? Luck was very fortunate they were able to stifle every elite offense they faced.

Luck has really been fortunate to walk into such a legendary group of talent. I'd imagine most young QBs would have won 2 or 3 Super Bowls by now. He's really been a failure in this league when you consider the facts.

Hootie 09-22-2015 09:25 PM

the Colts went 3-1 in December last year and Luck played 4 garbage football games

how exactly did they win those games if Luck is the only guy on their team?

tk13 09-22-2015 09:29 PM

He's not. You've clearly won this argument.

Seattle could save a lot of money if they'd cut Lynch and their defense. If Wilson or Brady or Manning could play with Trent Richardson and Boom Herron in the backfield, and a defense that literally gave up 30+ to almost every good offense they faced, those other guys would probably go undefeated. Luck only won 11 games and a couple playoff games with that group. He's practically Cassel with the 08 Patriots.

Hootie 09-22-2015 09:33 PM

are you saying that Boom Herron and Ahmad Bradshaw didn't play good RB for the Colts last year?

I'm sorry that I'm not giving Andrew Luck a pass for playing on a "garbage" team when his "garbage" team shared a division with Tennessee, Houston and Jacksonville.

I'm pretty sure Buffalo, Miami, NYJ, KC, San Diego, Baltimore, Cincy and Pitt would have all won that division if they were fortunate enough to switch places with Indy.

but hey, it sure is impressive that Luck could drag Trent Richardson to the playoffs beating up on Ryan Mettenberger Fitzpatrick Bortles ... as the Colts constantly used T-Rich as their #2 back ... but way to prop him up to make your argument look better

did you even watch the Colts last year?

tk13 09-22-2015 09:33 PM

Oh I forgot Zurlon Tipton. That guy got some carries in the playoffs too. Honestly I'd cut Charles in the offseason just so we can give Zurlon Tipton some carries. Herron/Tipton was basically Word/Okoye last year.
