One play here, a different penalty there and we walk out with the W

We lost by 3 on the road to a loaded team... I'm moving on

Yea. It’s frustrating but focus and the remaining games and win and it will take care of itself.

Watching the game the most puzzling thing was how bad our DL was.

It made me so mad I was screaming at my tv.

Running game slowed them down. Balanced offenses are the achilles heel of the Chiefs defense. Been that way the entire Mahomes era.

We've already ripped off one 5 game win streak, so lets get one more and PRAY we see Cincy again in the playoffs

Even on obvious passing downs our DL no-showed.

I don't see a loss. I certainly don't see two. . . But I see a couple of slogs that will surprise some. They aren't producing on offense, but they are holding nearly EVERYONE down on defense. Not streaky, or occasionally fortunate, legit week-in, week-out stifling.

Seeing Mahomes sling us to a quick early lead would be an immense relief when the time comes.

Patrick was saying we have to take that kind of thing with the kind of play and production that Kelce brings. I disagree. There is never a reason to not take care of the football.

You can say the Bengal players made a play on Kelce and I don't disagree. I am certain tonight though that Travis knows he had to take care of that ball and he failed to do so.

That's the truth, Patrick.

I am pissed because now at least 3 of Kelce's career fumbles were on the exact same play.

There was absolutely nothing to be gained by trying to fight 6 guys, or however many, for an extra yard.

Just FN go down. Remember in SB 54, when Tyreek caught the long Jet Chip Wasp pass? He started to battle the defenders, and Sammy Watkins was running towards the play pointing and yelling for Tyreek to go down. That's the smart play.

I don't remember the specific games, but I know that before Sunday, Kelce lost at least 2 fumbles the same way, fighting for an extra yard or two. NOT fighting for a first down, because he already had the 1st, but just an extra yard or two.

He is the greatest TE of all-time, and I am beyond grateful that he is a Kansas City Chief, but this was just an ignorant play by a future HOFer.

I wonder if there’s truth to some of our guys not feeling 100%. There were rumors kelce was sick, clark was almost a no go, juju was sick earlier in the week. Not making excuses but maybe there’s reason to be optimistic that we’re better than what we showed. You’d have to imagine mahomes had a little distracting of a week as well having had a baby earlier in the week

I thought the same thing. Kelce seemed to be on the sideline quite a bit more than normal. I'd hate to ask about the number of snaps from our WRs and TEs because --- well you know. ;)

You’ll never ever ever hear kelce admit it if true because he’s just that kind of standup dude. But his eyes looked pretty shot and he was huffing.

crayzkirk 12-06-2022 06:46 AM

As far as the Kelce fumble, two things.

1) why don't we see the Chiefs defenders ganging up and trying to strip the ball?
2) was Kelce fighting for extra yards or was he being held up while they tried to strip the ball?

I don't like the pushing the pile rule for the offense. If you allow this, why don't they allow the defenders to do the same thing? Are we playing American Football or Rugby?

FWIW, I saw on Twitter someone said Holthus was on CDot's show yesterday and confirmed that Kelce (and some others, I think maybe Bolton being one, and he had a horrible game) had been sick 48 hours before the game.

Boy that smarts. Can y'all stop calling them frauds now? They've beaten us three times in 13 months.

1. The pass rush was inexcusable. They doubled Jones all game and nobody else could get home. That's a recipe for disaster against Burrow, who, in my estimation is QB2 in the NFL. Yes, I'd absolutely take him over Josh Allen.

4. I know everyone is frustrated with the defense, but for the most part it was poor execution, not schematic-especially in the second half. Coordinators coordinate, coaches coach, but players have to make plays. They didn't make enough of them. Period.

I knew that this game would hinge on our DLine. I remember last year we just never got pressure and burrow got to do what he wanted. Although our offense lost last years AFCCG for us by not scoring in the second half, if we get like 1 maybe 2 sack that game to end a drive we win that one. Upsetting that this is still an issue.

At some point you have to look at spags he has had what 4 years of influence over this roster? These are his guys and really how much has our defense improved from year 1 of his system? In a lot of ways it seems to be the same defense every year regardless of the players. A middle of the pack mediocre unit, never elite. Andy will never move on from him so it is pointless to talk about it but I think we can do better. Mahomes doesn't get to have a defense....he has to be perfect every game. Hope he doesn't get tired of it eventually.

Disappointing loss, but we are still sitting in good shape. I hope the bengals get launched by another team because we flat out can't beat them. I don't want to play them again because we just don't see to have the answers there. Yea you can say "oh it was the fumble" or whatever but reality is, these guys have beat us 3 times in a row in a calendar year basically. They are the better team until we prove otherwise. I Think they are just the kryptonite, bad personelle matchup for us. Hope Andy an dco can figure that one out because they sure as hell have our number.
