13 seconds was so tough. Even chiefs fans never had to endure that much heartbreak. In a year when the chiefs are down due to injury or whatever, I'd pull for Allen and the Bills to finally get one, as long as they continue to respect the greatness of Mahomes!

Dee Ford is pretty brutal, especially knowing that it will be used forever against Mahomes to prop up Brady's GOAT status. Patrick outplayed him in that game. Brady had 2 bad turnovers which gave a 14 point swing to KC and Brady would have a 3rd bad turnover to lose the game if Dee Ford simply lined up correctly.

People also need to remember what we endured before that. We didn't just bounce into town after Pat showed up. It wasn't all that long ago that I truly feared I'd die of old age before we ever even won another playoff game, let alone a Super Bowl. I listen to people endlessly whine about how lucky we are, how it isn't fair, how we are the ultimate beneficiaries of ref bias, and I can't help but wonder, DID YOU ****ERS ALL LIVE UNDER A ROCK PRIOR TO 2020? Jesus. Being a Chiefs fan was like living under a ladder on the remnants of a dozen broken mirrors with a hundred black cats surrounded by angry voodoo priestesses poking little red dolls. I try to explain this to people and they look at me like I'm crazy. I swear the average fan has the memory capacity of a ****ing goldfish. Seemingly forever, we either sucked or found the most painful ways imaginable to lose important games to inferior teams. We were owned in the playoffs by the goddamn Colts for years. Who did you have to be in a previous life to deserve that? Stalin?

And while I understand the pain Bills fans feel, sorry, but I still remember my own ****ing pain, which went on and on and on for decades. So **** 'em. And all the rest of the haters. We deserve this success. And whatever future success comes our way.

Don't like my Super Bowl jacket? Well, bite me.

They still have 2 years because any extension will likely play out after his 5th year. They will sign him to a massive extension either this year or next year but it won't kick in until after that final rookie deal is expired.

This year cap hit is 11 million.

It goes to 29 million on 5th year option.

The Bills losing Von was huge and exposed the weaknesses throughout that defense. I rewatched the highlights of our loss to them this year. They were a completely different team. I think we would have matched up with a healthy Bills team with how much our rookies jumped from Week 6 to the playoffs, but the Bills being able to get pressure with 4 down lineman hid a lot of their issues in their secondary and made it a tall task to get in a shootout with them. Von's pressure was the most fazed I've seen Mahomes the entire season. He was constantly uncomfortable, even when Von wasn't generating any heat. They now have to hope that a (36?) year old can come back from an ACL tear as dominant as he was, because that contract (6/130) quickly becomes a major albatross if he doesn't.

Diggs removed all Buffalo related images from his instagram. We were able to reload after trading Tyreek. The Bills might be wise to follow suit, but it's much easier said than done to pull off what we did. Especially as their forum has brought up major red flags about their GM's drafting record (saw a comment that said they have been clowned by Veach in the draft two consecutive years -- I'd argue in 2017, too, but that's another topic). Coaching is also a major issue. The Bills offense didn't seem prepared at all for the Bengals defense OR for the weather and their style had been getting honed in on by multiple defenses to end the year. Coaching miscues by McDermott were also major factors in both of our wins against Buffalo in the playoffs.

At the end of the day I think that the Bills can win a SB with Allen, but only if he's healthy and hits one of his hot streaks at the right time. At this point in his career he's taken an insane amount of unnecessary brutality where even his GM made a plea for him to play smarter at the end of this season.

There is still enough talent on that team to win it all, but it's important to recognize that they put all of their chips on the table to win this year. Now that it's over, they have question marks in both their coaching and front office that we've never had in the Reid era (even if I was too much of an idiot to appreciate that until 2017).

Quality post all round, but I think you really hit on the magic formula right there.

The only consistent, tried and true, no doubt about it formula for a top flight defense is being able to pressure consistently with four.

If you can do that, you're legit. If you can't, well...

Agreed. Nobody cared when it was the Chiefs getting actually screwed by the refs. Not to mention being as snakebitten as a team can get in the playoffs.

We lost to Brady in OT without getting the ball. Nobody cared. The Chiefs suggested a rule change and everyone told them to get fisted and "learn to play defense". 3 years later it happens to the Bills and everyone rushes to claim how unfair the rules are and votes to change them immediately that offseason.

So yeah they can all go fist themselves.

This is simply a masterpiece post!
Not to mention that we still had yo pay our dues with Patrick Mahomes because losing the 2018 AFCCG the way we did was part of that process.

So yes, **** the whole world if everyone doesn't like the fact that WE HAVE ARRIVED, because, guess what? WE ****ING PAID OUR DUES!

The problem is that Patrick is winning it all right now and most Bills fans won't acknowledge his greatness.

What makes you think they will acknowledge it if he has a down year?

Also don’t forget the Eric Fisher hold in 2016 that erased a 2 point conversion to tie the game, and the Mariota “forward progress” fumble in 2017

Annnnnnnd the concussion/Andrew Luck game.

Even if punk asses are too young to remember before the decade of darkness the Alex years should still be available to them.

I disagree to some extent...to me he seems to whine a lot about not getting calls and his acting skills when taking a flop are something to laugh at. (There is even a YouTube video out there showing that)

Allen has all the skills to be a great QB....but not the football acumen that guys like Mahomes and even Brady in his prime do.

Trying to remember...was it Cheffers that called the "forward progress " thing for Mariota?

It was Jeff Triplette

He retired at the end of the season

They can always watch SB 55 on a loop. If they want to see Mahomes and Chiefs Kingdom humbled. Then again it just stoked his :fire:

The kicker that shall not be named game as we all sat there screaming at marty to put rich Gannon in the game...then watching Gannon lead the Raiders to the superbowl at the end of his career. Montana's concussion to the bills in the afc championship game. (Although that season was still awesome with the blocked punt to beat Pittsburgh and the dismantling of the Houston buddy Ryan defense.)
