Becoming more and more apparent the right move was to just not take a WR in that pocket of the draft altogether

George Pickens asked about people questioning his effort, particularly on plays like the lack of block on Jaylen Warren's run:

Pickens: "Yeah, all the people that’s questioning my effort, they don’t play football. Trey McBride was the next pick after Skyy. Boy it would be nice to have him.
Over 700 yards receiving this year with garbage QB play most of the season. Had 100+ yards against the 49ers on Sunday. He looks like a really good young TE |
Pickens will be out of the league in a couple of years.

A handful of posters talk a lot pre-draft about how talented/potential-laden Pickens is, he becomes a name they know and recognize, they see the Chiefs in a position to draft him, and when they decide to go with somebody else, they supposedly all knew and wanted Pickens from the beginning. For how many posters on here who supposedly "wanted Pickens all along!" a good large chunk of them sure were quiet when it came to their opinions in the months leading up to the draft. |
I guess this is why we didn't pick Pickens. He's a head case and gives up.
Too bad we picked skyy tho, worse 2nd round pick since probably around 2010. |

I just don't throw a never ending fit when the Chiefs don't draft my guy. |

My prominent memory of Speaks was him letting Tom Brady go when he had a sack. Skyy sucks slightly less. |
But that's with Skyy getting 20x more snaps or w/e than Speaks.
