Yeah, he's playing fine. I don't really notice him much, which is what you want.
|
He was a little slow off the ball a few times and Uche got the best of him. Nothing unexpected really. A year in the system and weight room should clean up most of the issues hes had so far imo.

Got his "welcome to the NFL" moment. Aside from that he did pretty well for a rookie LT.

Josh Uche would fit really nice here.

I thought he was a little better than he was against Buffalo.
Though I do think all 3 games are pretty close. If I'm ranking them I say this was his best game, then GB, then Buffalo. But man, all 3 of them were the same letter grade; maybe a couple Cs and a C+? A C and a couple C+s? Just a very similar performance every time. Tells me it's repeatable, at least. He can go out there and play credibly. I haven't seen any wild swings in his performance to this point so it is probably a fair statement of his ability as he approaches a couple hundred offensive snaps. If he gives us another similar effort this week, I think you could reasonably say that's just who he is for now and a probable baseline going forward. And that's pretty nice to have. |

It's all based on the finances and such.
Getting a C+ LT as a rookie in the 3rd round is....well **** that's value. You take that and run to the bank. Ideally, he develops and is a B type player next year or better. If so......you're cooking with so much gas. |
A guy who was drafted as a project and doesn't totally embarrass himself at LT in his rookie year has a great chance to develop into something special. Might be some bumps along the road, but the fact that Reid has this kind of confidence in him speaks volumes.
|
I think he’s shown more than enough to go into next year with him penciled in at LT, barring a complete collapse these last few games. If Smith gets healthy I think Reid is going to put him back in the lineup, which is fine, but you roll with Morris next year for sure.
