His taste in everything else life-related is bad; why not assume he has bad tastes in women as well?

All I'm saying is... be a good QB or get the **** off the team and die in a fire, Bray.

Well, I dunno... I don't necessarily like his tweets, nor do I think his tweets reflect a person who is free from dumbass-ville (although I love the fact that he is getting into 90's alternative). D-bag or not, it's just kind of nice to see a QB on our team who will at least unapologetically give us a glimpse of his true personality. Nothing was more frustrating than Cassel, who imo, had the majority of fans duped into believing that he was a "great guy" when he consistently wouldn't hesitate to throw his entire team under the bus even when discussing something that was his fault completely. Cassel's "nice guy" reputation was totally fraudulent and it made me want to vomit (I think you agree totally about that).

Cassel's d-baggery = subtle and deceptive to the majority of fans...which drove me nuts.... to the point where I don't know if I've ever despised anyone more than him.

Bray's d-baggery = unapologetic and personally put out there by himself...which I will be able to tolerate much easier if he ever becomes our starter.

I don't really know why I am sitting here comparing the d-bag tendencies and how they show them of Bray and Cassel, considering Cassel was our starter for 4 seasons and Bray is our UDFA who hasn't even officially made 3rd string yet... but it's FWIW I guess, which probably isn't worth much. :)

mcaj22 05-28-2013 11:32 AM

i cant wait for the first scandal where Bray sticks his finger up some pretty girls pooper in the bathroom of a KC nightclub or sends his dong pics to one of those hot young ESPN female analysts and it puts Bray on the media map as the next great douchebag QB.

I await that hump he has to go over to become the next Big Ben, Brett Favre, Dan Marino like QB

Sweet Daddy Hate 05-28-2013 11:34 AM

His potential douchebagness combined with his natural talent is what gives us the edge at possibly having a REAL franchise QB. No franchise QB is a nice, dumb mother****er like Matt Cassel or Axl Reid, for ****s sake. They are GIANT egos with skills and a chip on their shoulders. THIS WE NEED.

Skull-FU 05-28-2013 11:56 AM

32 Teams don't pass on a real franchise QB seven times. With all due respect, you are crazy man. He's a longshot at best.

Cannibal 05-28-2013 12:00 PM

Those teams passed on him due to the potential for Ryan Leaf behavior and the associated distractions that come with it.

But he literally has the best arm in this draft class.

If he can be coddled along to not meltdown and make better decisions, he has great potential.

He has no leadership skills and won like one SEC game. This despite having a damn good LT and three really good WRs during his time at Tennessee.

In this particular draft, 32 teams were a bunch of goddamned morons, passing on viable QB prospects and taking linemen like it was 1978 at the top of the draft because a bunch of idiot talking heads couldn't get it through their thick ****ing skulls that LAST YEARS QB class was A ****ING RARITY IN THIS LEAGUE. What makes me the most excited about him is that the majority of 2014 draft projections (when he was actually projected to not declare for draft until next season) that I read had him listed as a projected top 5 overall pick with an excerpt clarifying "top 5 pick IF he shows that he can display maturity." Many of these had him #1 overall....in a QB class that is presumably considered stronger than this year's QB class.

There is at the least, a glimmer of hope here. I don't care what anyone says.

Viable QB prospects? C'mon man, you got to be kidding me. This might be the worst QB class ever when it's all said and done. You really think the coaches listen to the talking heads or do they have regional scouts? How many people really passed on guys like Smith, Barkley, and Bray? It wasn't just the GMs. Hundreds of people were involved.

Lots of tweets coming out saying that the team overall had a sloppy practice.

Bray was one of the few players who got a good review today.

The Star article about him a couple weeks ago said he was the current starter...

Akeem Jordan gets first chance to start along side Derrick Johnson on Chiefs’ defense

May 14

By RANDY COVITZ

The Kansas City Star

It appears as if free agent Akeem Jordan will get first crack at the vacant inside linebacker position in the Chiefs defense.

Jordan played alongside Pro Bowler Derrick Johnson with the first-unit defense Tuesday when the Chiefs conducted their first full-squad practice of the offseason.

Jordan, a seven-year veteran, is making the transition to a 3-4 defense from the 4-3 in Philadelphia, where he appeared in 82 games, including 34 starts, at all three spots during 2007-12.

“The thing you get with Akeem is he’s a smart football player,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said. “He hasn’t played in the 34, but he gives you the trust that he can do that. He doesn’t make a lot of mistakes. And he’s a phenomenal special-teams player, so you get both those things. You’re going to get a guy who doesn’t make mistakes on the field as a linebacker, and you get something special on special teams.”

Another veteran free agent, Zac Diles, and fourth-round draft pick Nico Johnson of Alabama, played inside linebacker with the second unit and will compete for the spot formerly occupied by the late Jovan Belcher.

You're really jumping the gun here. Players are moved around all the time. Jordan could've been playing with the 2's or 3's. He's not exactly Derrick Johnson.

I think if Bray played with the 1's people would mention it. It be a pretty noteworthy event if anyone other than Smith were taking snaps with the 1's.

I think it was Babb that tweeted about Stanzi on the first day of TC. He said something along the lines of, "hope I'm not digging my twitter grave by saying this, but Stanzi was the most impressive QB at OTA's."

Good point about Bray.

As for Bradford, I think we'd have taken him number one. I think everyone knows last year's class was special. I don't think any of the personnel were fooled this year and I don't think they even thought about last year's class when evaluation this year's QB crop.

Maybe the talking heads did but, not the scouts, GMs, or coaches.

Bray over Stanzi?

The Chiefs haven't ever figured out what they have in Ricky Stanzi, whether it was the Scott Pioli regime or the John Dorsey-Andy Reid combo. Still it seems that no one is quite enamored enough to let him take the field. For this year's Chiefs, it looks like the undrafted Tyler Bray has a solid chance to make the depth chart.

Stanzi must be running for his life back there.
