Damn, PES has the World Cup?

I don't get why FIFA cant have a game that includes everything, like the Champions League, or the CONCACAF Champions League

Well, it's called "International Cup", but it's the same format/countries.

That'd be it. 29.98.

Do they make PS3's that play the old PS1 games too? I am not ready to give up March Madness 2000.

All PS3's play PS1 games

Weird. Took the same game to my friends house a few weeks back, and it would not play it. The game is in great condition, and plays just fine on my PS2. His PS3 only worked for PS3 games. I thought maybe all of the PS3's were like that?

I think the 60 gig ps3 was not b/c, or the 40 gig. Either way I think you can download a patch for it though.

all PS3's can play PS1 games. How many times does this need to be laid out? Not all PS3's can play PS2 games.

I wish they would issue a software patch to play PS2 games. Never happen though. From what I understand it is almost impossible.

Ran into my first problem last night with my PS3...

My wired and wireless NIC on the PS3 just stopped working. I disconnected the connection to switch over to another router and the damn PS3 wouldn't scan for the router (or any other router in the apartment complex) or read an Ethernet cable being plugged in. In the end, I backed up my important saves and had to reformat the entire PS3. The NIC on the PS3 worked, but what an asspain....

Only thing I can think of that might have messed it up was the Bioshock update I downloaded. The network configuration couldn't have ****ed it up, since the PS3 just wasn't reading ANYTHING. So, just in case anyone comes up across a similiar problem....just backup and reformat.

It took 2 years and finally something dicked up on it, but it was fixable.....still better than the infamous RRoD on the 360.

FYI

firmware 2.80 is out so don't get upset when you want to play online games and can't because you have to wait for the DL and install first.

I really wish Sony would adopt the Microsoft setup on updates and only do 1 or 2 per year. I get sick of this monthly update crap. Especially when the updates don't do anything.

meh updates arent bad once a month. Its not like its a big inconvienence. THey are all fairly fast. I dont think i have ever had one issue with a PS3 update.

PS3's set ups alot different them MS's though. It was initially pretty crappy. They have made alot of strides and do alot of updates. The faster you get them out to your customers, the better imo.

When I know about them in advance I can live with it because I can just set my console to DL overnight. When I log on to play a game and get hit with the update unknowingly though, it ticks me off as that 30-60 minutes I had set aside to play a game just got lost. I have yet to have a PS update be shorter than 25 minutes from initial DL start to install finish and restart.

I generally only have a 30-60 minute window to play as it is.

i dont think i ahve ever waited even 15 min for an update. If i see one i just download it, go make a sandwhich go take a shit or something, come back and done. lol

I have always had problems with network speed on the PS3. I am fine on all my laptops and PCs and the xbox but PS3 is slow even with all the tweaks I have looked up on the internet. I've tried them all. Just gave up on it though since it wasn't screwing up the online gameplay which is all that mattered.
