You guys are making this too complicated. The Raiders made a big bet that Carson Palmer is an elite QB. If he is, they win the bet. I'm sure the stats guys at Football Outsiders or somewhere else can tell us how many wins 5-6 years of elite QB play is worth versus expected wins a 1st and a 2nd will create.

As almost all of us have agreed, winning championships is all about elite QB play. My warning to Raiders fans would be why is it that only the Raiders think Carson Palmer is an elite QB? No other team does.

Here's the deal and I am not going to argue who is going to win this game anymore.

The Raiders beat the Chiefs twice last year and the Chiefs were much better than they are this year.
The Raiders are much better overall than they were last your in virtually every aspect of their game except that ONE unknown and that is Carson Palmer.

Carson Palmer will really have to be off his game bad to lose this game to the Chiefs... If it was last years team coming into Oakland, I would be more worried but barring a total flop and every ball rolling the Chiefs way, I predict a big win for the Raiders in front of the sellout crowd.
