If you are negotiating a contract buy out like some have said or that he's waiting for lawsuits to settle etc, why would you take that guy to be present in a meeting with likely the best coach available?

mcaj22 01-02-2013 05:17 PM

i wouldnt hate it either

but there is no way Andy Reid is working with the Scooter Pioli ego. 0 chance

I guess you and I are the only ones thinking this.

I can TOTALLY see Pioli being here in 2013. I'm just not going to get hung up on it until it's confirmed that he is.

If he's Director of Pro Personnel under a head coach like Reid, who has veto power, it's not anything remotely close to what he is now.

True but he could be over everything else especially if they hire a first time head coach.

All I am saying is that I am not going to completly shut out the notion that Pioli may be around next year. I think it would be a PR disaster and he should have been fired 2 days ago but who the **** knows anymore what is going on at 1 Arrowhead Drive.

I totally agree. However, it's a "process."

Because he's still employed by the Chiefs.

If Clark leaves him in KC, that helps Pioli in the buyout process.

Pioli has a magic hold over Hunt

siberian khatru 01-02-2013 05:18 PM

After all of this leaving Pioli twisting in the wind -- "Eh, I might keep him, I might not, just depends" -- how in the world at the end of the day could Clark come back and say, "Scott's my man. I have full confidence in him to turn this team around"?

Sell that shit somewhere else. You can take your time firing him, so long as you FIRE HIM.

There's nothing to spin - he either lied or he didn't.

Again, who's making personnel decisions? Who's negotiating free agents?

What has Pioli done in four years here that garners any of this?

The Franchise 01-02-2013 05:18 PM

If the new HC is going to help Hunt with the decision on Pioli.....why wouldn't you want him there in the interview?

What is pioli's incentive under that scenario? He brings absolutely nothing to the table.

Mr. Flopnuts 01-02-2013 05:19 PM

I've been as optimistic as anyone about Clark, but I am concerned that Pioli is there talking to Reid. Why? Unless bad things are happening.
