So we have another Jay Cutler then.

Cutler > Smith

No, you said people obsess too much over it because "Alex Smith is the starter."

There is no obsession. You saying there is one doesn't change that. Just as people taking time to keep tabs on how Bray is doing during the offseason workouts doesn't change the top of the QB depth chart.

Many people typed Bray's name on this forum before he typed his own name on his back....

But how many made a commitment...?

Very debatable.

As long as Cutler is under center that team will ALWAYS be relevant.

That is pretty hardcore.

I didn't realize they were all that relevant the last three years or so. Josh McCown probably deserved to stay as starter during Cutler injury. That's a different topic though.

So if he didn't have one of the best receiving corps in the nfl he would still make the team relevant?

Some backups do look good when it's their time to shine. See Matt Cassel

I don't mind other opinions as long as their presented in a somewhat respectable fashion. It was my mistake to post about my thoughts on the obsession in the midst of the discussion.

I'm all for keeping tabs on Bray, I'm rooting for him to develop and do well, Murray too. I just prefer to concentrate on position battles that are in flux through training camp.

13-1 INT ratio and 66% is pretty impressive for McCown.

You don't think Cutler forces throws into spots because he thinks he's the shit and can make any throw in the game?

I'm not even saying Bray is Cutler. But if that's what his upside is, I'll pass. He can be the #2 his whole career.

LMAO You are something else, dudely.

What is your current stance when it comes to Bray vs. T. Wilson vs. Tannehill?

Tyler Wilson always did suck.
