We are moving on from Alex Smith this isn't a debate any more it's just a matter of time before we make the switch and not look back.

Denver never had what felt like a playoff curse
Denver wasn't in chaos when he joined
Tebow didn't bring stability. He entered a good situation, flashed for a year, then got booted

The chiefs rebuilt. They won their fans back after flat out revolt. Now they drafted a first rounder in an ambitious trade and he will start soon enough. So yeah, if mahomes does well, I'm fine with how this thing went. I'm glad mahomes doesn't walk in having to clean up a mess or break a 30 year curse

The Broncos had one playoff win in 12 years before Tebow beat Pittsburgh.

They were very much a team in flux when he came along. They had just gone 4-12 the season prior to his amazing playoff success.

Not a single **** was given and they got a Super Bowl for their boldness.

ROFL. 1 playoff win in 6 years. Boohoo.

The Chiefs were 0 for 22 w/the 3rd worst drought in the league.

Denver went 4-12. The Chiefs went 2-14, had a fan revolt against the GM, and spent the next 2-3 years upheaving about 90% of the roster.

Signing Manning wasn't bold. And it's been proven that Elway is average without Manning.

It's not hard to look good when you have one of the 5 best QB's leading your team.

No franchise should ever be satisfied with 1 playoff win in 4 seasons.

That's the main point.

They just traded multiple first round picks for a qb.

So I'd say they arent satisfied

The Broncos won a division and playoff game the year before signing Manning. They went What? 9-7 This past year? Elways is hardly the idiot you pretend he is.

They were 8-8 and beat easily the worst Steelers team in the past decade. It was one of the most unimpressive playoff wins I've ever seen. Pittsburgh had fallen apart and their defense was done (and their offense hadn't begun it's ascension).

Winning the division at 8-8 is impressive?

People trash the Chiefs all the time bc they've won just 1 playoff game. If the Chiefs went 17-15 with one playoff win this board would say they suck

They've been 43-21 with a playoff win since Reid arrived and people on this forum say they suck.

That will never stop.

I think people quickly forget how cursed we believe this team was after not winning a playoff game for 22 years.

Or how much of a shitstorm this team was when Pioli got shitcanned.

Winning a Super Bowl is obviously the main goal. But you can't jump from 0 to 100 overnight. Winning a playoff game, building franchise stability and a winning culture are big victories. And Alex Smith for all his flaws was a big part of making that happen.

I never said the Chiefs suck but the fantasy that John Elway hasn't been successful just isn't true.
