I think the point being missed is that this is a great sign for his potential availability to start TC. Guys that are still relatively far away aren't putting on a helmet and going through little drills in early May.

I know Reid said he'd be ready for camp, but he didn't say day 1. I'm starting to believe that might actually be what he meant, which is incredible to say the least.

I still think he'll be placed on PUP to start the season.

Guys like Matt Derrick, Nick Jacobs, and Nate Taylor said expect this be a red shirt season anything else is hype concerning him starting.

It would contradict everything we've heard from the team.

I never said anything about him being starting. And even by RS they're simply talking about him starting, and obviously, that's not the plan.

That doesn't mean he's not going to go through TC and the preseason regularly like he's healthy. That's what's important here.

I don’t think there’s any reason to rush him into action.

We made it to the Super Bowl without him last season.

IF he's good to go, you play him. You want him experienced and confident in the play-offs.

IF he's not good to go, then you probably aren't playing him this season barring injury to Moore.

I think Simmons will eventually be an above average starting Left Tackle. But it's not out of the question that Jaylon Moore just flat out beats him for the starting job in 2025. Rookie Left Tackles are very rarely able to beat out a 5 year NFL veteran. Simmons probably beats him out for the job in 2026.

Someone is moving to Rt tackle next year..
