I thought there two options:

Edge comes out as Christian's corner guy, screws him giving orton the title.

Edge comes out, "turns" on Christian before the match, runs in later and screws orton.

Of course, I guess there is a third option, that this is finally Christian's burial.

I liked the finish of that match.

I'd say that was the 2nd best match on the show. Which wasn't saying a lot this year. Distant second to HHH/Taker, but a good match.

Yeah, I thought this promo was awesome the first time I saw it (Monday?). Makes a month-long rushed feud look like something that was given a lot of time and is completely epic.

Well considering all the crap feuds, matches & gimmicks we've sat through in the last 10 years or so, it's pretty damn epic, despite being rushed.

Somebody on another board just came up with a cool idea. Orton feuds for a bit with Henry, then Barrett (build him hard the rest of the year), finally have Barrett go over at the Royal Rumble setting up the Bryan/Barrett rematch at mania with Bryan going over.

I don't think there's a chance in hell they'd do that. Barrett's their future champion and Bryan's at best their new Benoit (make other people look good, occasionally get a belt).

Okay, to beat a long dead horse and change what I said five minutes ago: I really hate that they refuse to ever let Cena lose clean. Punk's already giving up the title to Del Rio. Why in the world do they have to do the cheap finish, which the crowd did not like, it sounded like it cooled them on Punk.

It makes sense logically, but booking wise but it's just more Super Cena. It was like their number one goal of the night was to protect him, yet again.

Punk/Nash, if that's a feud, would suck ass. Nash can't work anymore. I hope he's just a hired thug.

Punk with a clean win tonight would have had another huge moment, which would have made Del Rio an even bigger heel in turn.

Alright, think I've calmed down a bit after that (it's still real to me dammit when it involves a guy I mark out for)....


3 things:
1: The last hour & a half or so of that show was great (with the exception of the last 2 minutes or so) IMO, starting with Bryan vs. Barrett. Don't like a lot of the booking, but the matches were good.

2: I said before that WWE needs to milk this Cena/Punk thing, and hopefully they'll get ADR out of the title picture soon to get back to Punk vs. Cena. The crowd was going nuts for most of the Punk-Cena match and I didn't hear a thing after ADR won. You give Punk, who's the hottest thing in wrestling, a 1-month title reign. No need to let ADR hold the title longer than that. Could be an entertaining month with the possible HHH-Nash clique connection, Punk vs. the establishment, ADR as champ, SuperCena, and of course Stephanie. But they need to get the title back on either Punk or Cena so they can keep feuding, because the crowd clearly loves it.

3: What in the hell are they going to do with Cena? If he's getting booed that badly in LA against Punk, imagine what Miami will do to him against The Rock....

You only like Cena if ya got a string between your legs or if your balls haven't dropped.

My only issue is that they need to be building Punk's babyface bona fides, not making them ambiguous. The crowd was less-than-enthused about Punk parading around after a dirty win. The aftermath and explanations on Raw tomorrow should (I hope) firmly place Punk as a face that got screwed, but maybe WWE ****s this up.

I think all they have to do to salvage that is have Punk say he didn't see it either, and he thought he'd won clean. He can even take some shots at HHH for screwing up.

I'll give them this much: I'm actually excited for Raw tonight, which is, what, the 5th week in a row? That's something, since I was about ready to quit watching altogether before Punk's first promo.

I may not like everything they've done, and I think it's as much accident as intentional, but this has made for some of the most interesting television they've had for years. Which is kind of hard to believe with just how awful the roster is at this point in time. I mean, I'm looking forward to a raw that will prominently feature lame acts like R-Truth and Morrison and Mysterio and Dolph Ziggler and Alex Riley.

They should create a "Corporate" titan tron for HHH. Showing him in suits, etc. Would sell the angle better than having him coming out to the old music with all the match shots and flexing on the tron.

Truth is hilarious and I think Ziggler can be a pretty good worker if he continues to improve, and the only thing to hate about Rey IMO is the way he's booked (which is horrible). Agreed on Morrison & Riley, though.

And yeah, the roster sucks, but that's part of their challenge right now: to get you to care about some of the guys outside of CM Punk & John Cena.
