Now, this might be a stretch, but I'd assume he's watched some film of both KC's offense and Andy Reid's in Philly. Now, to me, it is pretty easy to see that with the personnel KC provides immediately + Andy's philosophies, that Geno would think that that is an ideal place that could A) Utilize his skill sets best and B) Use them to an obscene advantage with our personnel. Geno running PA off of our stretch and inside zone plays with Charles is a perfect fit even in an E/P offense such as Daboll's that utilized a ZBS. Now you add that with Andy's WCO philosophies as having a combination of both shorter routes that allow for YAC (slants, screens, whips, etc) and his beliefs in throws down the field via sluggos, double moves off of curl-goes, post corners, etc.) and it seems logical to me that Geno would be absolutely loving coming into a situation like that. |

This may sound weird...or dumb, but I'm glad that he specifically included the word, "red" when he stated, "it would be great to be in Kansas City red." In other words, I'm happy to know that he AT LEAST knows that Kansas City wears red. I've always been a Ryan Tannehater and hated him even more when I heard that he wasn't familiar with the NFL divisions and which teams were in each division. A first round draft pick QB not knowing that really made me wonder how dense some of these dudes are....I'm relieved that Geno Smith has at least familiarized himself with the obvious basics of Chiefs football....will be an even better feeling if he proves that he has a general knowledge of NFL football and isn't a total dumbass like Tannehockey. I dunno. As dumb as it sounds, I'm glad he knows we wear red....

and when petro asked him who was the WVU QB who had been in a superbowl, Geno answered immediately... |
Interesting that he turned down Bama after Saban told him that he was their #1 prospect.
|
Also interesting Julio was his host. I'm sure Geno enjoyed himself. Stated that he considered LSU and FSU but went to WVu because he wanted to be the guy.
|
They asked him if he expects him to be the #1 pick. He says yes and if you're looking for a franchise QB and a franchise changer, he's your guy. NOM NOM NOM!
