Although he was just asking for the second attack. Keeping that dog alive after the first attack is the height of stupidity. Alive and in the same house as his wife and kids.:shake:

Bachelor star almost killed by his own family dog after two brutal attacks in 12 hours

The Bachelor universe star Sean Lowe has revealed he was almost killed by his own dog after he was brutally attacked twice within 12 hours.

The 41-year-old reality star — who married Catherine Giudici after proposing to her on season 17 of The Bachelor — revealed Monday in a somber but chilling video that his dog Moose had 'ripped' his arm open, leaving him feeling as if he was 'fighting for [his] life.'

'I feel like if this dog gets up, he’s going to kill me,' he said of the seven-year-old Boxer, which his family had only had for three months after adopting him from a shelter.

He noted that he could barely keep the Moose off himself, despite weighing 220 pounds, so he feared that the animal could have killed his wife or children if it had mauled them instead.

In the video, Lowe showed off a gnarly set of stitches and bloody bites marks on his arms from the repeated attacks.

'Our family has been through something pretty traumatic over the weekend,' Sean said in the video, before noting that he had debated whether to even share his experience. His wife Catherine sat next to him throughout, but she was mostly silent while tears streamed down her face........

Boxer? What is this doing in this thread?

Well, as a boxer owner who has had them from the time they were puppies puppies as well as rescues from 2-4 years old, I can say that I have been pretty lucky. Only had one bad experience with a rescue boxer. That one, however, was old and had never been neutered, which was most likely the cause for him to try to assert dominance over my much younger and stronger, other rescue boxer. That didn't work out so well for the old boy. Only time I have ever taken a rescue back to the shelter. Absolutely hated to do it but it was the only option.

Gotta love how the other 2 scooter riders just stood there. Perhaps take a helmet and thump the dog upside the head?

You’re probably right. Article says he only had the dog for four months as well.

This has nothing to do with pit bulls, but my dad had a girlfriend who had a rescue dog. She was a few years old when she was rescued. Really sweet dog. We’d take her to the dog park and instead of frolicking with the other dogs, she’d find some old geezer on a bench and spend the entire time at his feet hoping for pets lol

Any time you’d scare her or she thought you might hit her, she’d yelp like crazy. I’m fairly certain the previous owner beat the shit out of that dog and that’s terrible.

That's awesome.

We have a 1 year old Staffy named Kelce. Every day when I come home from work, she runs at me full blast and jumps into my arms and I yell "Touchdown, Kansas City." I take her for a walk every evening around our neighborhood and even my next door neighbor who was 100% against us getting this type of dog comes out to pet her and say hi when he sees us walking.

These parents have been charged, hopefully they get the maximum punishment but I was disappointed when they said the maximum is 16 years. That poor baby, it’s so heartbreaking for what happened to him and also his sister will forever traumatized, what a pair of horrible human beings they unfortunately had/have as parents.

That's horrible.

TripleThreat 04-09-2025 01:16 AM

Indeed horrible. It’s so insane to me that this shit goes on in the world. My wife told me another 2 stories about two baby’s unrelated to Pitts but just awful parents that in my eyes aren’t even human beings.

Absolutely hate baby deaths and the fact that it’s so common is just so disturbing.

Pit bull kills 53 year old woman and 4 year old child inside a house in Huntingburg Indiana. This is about an hour from me. Unbelievable.

Another pit mauler who was stabbed with a knife, shot with bean bag rounds, tazed, and still didn't stop fatally mauling it's owner until it was shot with a tranq.

Hmm, making a dog wear a sweater??? Gonna have to stick up for the dog on this one. Give him a few 'bad dog bad dog and turn him loose.

Indian Chief 04-16-2025 12:36 AM

Naming a dog Scarface...wow. Plus side, the internet is always good for a laugh.

"They shoulda named him Scarf Ace, that might’ve made him more amenable to winter wear."

Yeah, I'm thinking no Rhodes scholars were involved in the making of this mess.
