Bowe is a top 5 WR. especially considering who's throwing him the ball; being the only target.

the one thing about keeping Pioli (lololololol)...Geno passes all of the Parcells 'draft a QB' tests!!!!!11

Daniel Jeremiah @MoveTheSticks
I'm studying Geno Smith tape. Reminds me of Alex Smith coming out of Utah. Daniel Jeremiah @MoveTheSticks Geno Smith and Alex Smith are very similar in build and athleticism. Geno has a little more arm and Alex was a little more accurate. |
Geno plays 'Cuse tomorrow. Gonna watch and see what he can do in his last college game.

Yeah I'm not seeing the Alex Smith comparison at all really.
Alex more accurate? Um... And similar athleticism? |

Alex Smith WTF? Oh, that's that hack that Slowmo always pimps as having awesome takes. What a buffoon.

Matt Miller @nfldraftscout
If I'm the #Chiefs, Geno Smith is my guy unless a trade out is possible. He's athletic, exciting, productive enough to spark offense. Matt Miller @nfldraftscout Updated senior QB Rankings: Geno Smith, Tyler Wilson, Mike Glennon, Matt Barkley, Ryan Nassib. Michael Wilson @dthomashof @GenoSmith_12 @MelKiperESPN Mel Kiper is a moron! He also said Jamarcus Russell wud be a franchise QB Joe Dice @joedice2001 Geno Smith reminds me a lot of Russell Wilson in terms of his touch & accuracy ball placement jus something can't be taught at next level michael page @mikepage1977 Mark my words @GenoSmith_12 will move up the so called big boards to the #1 spot. #hopeforchiefs Daniel Rosenman @Pigskin_Expert #Chiefs better get #GenoSmith for QBOTF. Strong arm, accurate, mobility if needed and a true leader Look I can post tweets too |

Exactly how the **** can you compare Alex Smith to Geno Smith in stats? Smith had one good year stats wise....and he still didn't throw for over 3000 yards that season.

Alex Smith coming out of Urban Meyer's Utah program was a pretty good QB. I personally saw most of his games and he was an incredibly accurate QB and was a legit pick in that draft as the #1 seed. Very smart and could really analyze a defense. He's got a raw deal in Frisco for his entire career. I fully expect him to end up in either Arizona or with the Jets this next season.
However, the major point with Smith is that he never had an arm that would drive the ball downfield to all points. (Which is the prime reason that Harbaugh went with Kaepernick over Smith, though you can really make an argument that he ****ed the team chemistry up with the switch at this point in the season.) I can see someone attempting to make the comparison to Geno though. Smith's combine numbers: 6041 - height 217 lbs. - weight 4.71 - 40 yard dash 9'05" - broad jump 3.97 - 20 shuttle Pretty good numbers. And considering that Smith was leading the NFL in completion % and passer rating, two things that Geno excels at, the comparison is at least a better one than the ignorant bullshit Jamarcus Russel or Byron Leftwich ones. But the one thing Geno has is the ability to drive the ball deep - with confidence. There is a little gunslinger in Geno that is going to make defensive coordinators worried that a very good game manager like Smith does not have. Take Smith's accuracy and put it together with a Rogers type mentality and that's Geno. |

The Alex Smith comparison doesn't bother me as bad as the assclowns who call Geno a running QB.
I know immediately what kind of fan I'm talking to when they say "we need a pro style QB who doesn't run" I quickly remind them that he leads all NCAA div-1 QBs in PASSING touchdowns with 40. Crickets.... |

All I know is I see a guy who, at this stage, has just about everything that you could possibly want in a prospect for the QB position. Ideal size, great arm, incredible accuracy, uncanny pocket awareness, fearless, quick, high release, confidence, experience, etc. You take a chance on that guy, especially if you are the 2013 Chiefs. You never know how a guy ends up. But Geno has all the necessary tools to be a very, very good QB at the next level. Potentially an elite level QB. You take that all day long. |

Syracuse QB Ryan Nassib holds every single Orange passing record with the exception of career TD's (broke Donovan McNabb's records) and has played some really solid ball for his entire career. Has flown under the radar due to the focus on guys like Luck and Griffin and Barkley and Smith, but he's a pretty solid NFL QB prospect in his own right. He also elevates his game against big name competition and had a very good game against Matt Barkley and USC earlier in the year. Syracuse will look to pressure Geno and his porous offensive line. The Orange rank 10th nationally in tackles for loss and really try to get after the QB with numerous blitz packages. West Virginia and Syracuse played last season in the Carrier Dome with Syracuse coming out and executing a near perfect game. Nassib arguably outplayed Smith in that matchup passing for 24/32 for 229 and 4 TDs, while Smith passed for 24/41 with 338 yards and 2 TDs. It was the last time West Virginia lost in 2011. Both Smith and Nassib will use this game as a final "real game" day showcase for their talents leading up to the 2013 draft and there will be plenty of NFL scouts in attendence. |

I thought he displayed tremendous poise and focus. Notice how he keeps his eyes down the field while being rushed by two defenders? He doesn't panic or lose focus, he remains calm, sets his eyes where they need to be and rewards himself with a good throw. Good job by him. |
Great Video. My favorite throw from Geno was this year against Marshall late in the 4th qtr. He throws a corner fade for a TD to Bailey. Just amazing touch and accuracy on his throws
|
Here's to hoping Jags win at noon tomorrow so I can cheer for the Chiefs knowing we've got Geno all but locked up.
|
The Alex Smith comparisons aren't as bad as some of you are making them out to be. Smith was legit coming out and never got me change help in SF. I do think he has a better arm than Alex Smith though...

Alex Smith just doesn't have the arm to take the top off the defense. With Harbaugh, he became an efficient, reliable game manager, but one that limits your passing game. But game manager is his ceiling. Geno Smith's ceiling is elite QB. |
