Yeah, it does, because you're ****ing stupid

I didn't realize we had people on CP that can predict the future. No QB in the next draft has the arm talent nor the play making ability of Mahomes. The guy had an all time terrible defense and still kicked ass. Texas Tech lost like 4 games when they scored over 35 points.

Only the USC kid is a true bad ass and he will stay in school if the wring team has the number one pick. He basically said so when he told teams not to tank for him.

Meh, don't care. Fact is KC traded up for a QB who can't even start because he comes from a college chuck and duck system. The 2018 draft will have better QBs and it will be deeper too.

Congrats. You just described Paxton Lynch and admitted that he has no shot

The Chiefs drafted a QB of the FUTURE.

Not 2017 and most likely, not 2018.

FUTURE.

You're smoking crack if you think the Chiefs could have jumped into the Top Three without giving up a massive amount of future draft choices.

The first time you make a sensible post on CP will be the first time.

This is the NFL, the best players/coaches in the world. Winning any NFL playoff game is impressive and an accomplishment. Hell winning a game in the NFL is an accomplishment. Every team and game is tough and a different challenge.

Most of you guys probably couldn't even make your HS football team and you want to compare beating a playoff team to buying a hooker because Alex Smith isn't an elite QB so stupid...

Give credit where credit is due. It was a great win for this organization to finally get that monkey off our back.

You, my friend, are a useless ****ing tool.

The Broncos gave up a third round pick for Lynch and he's probably gonna start this year. Plus the Broncos drafted a better NFL QB prospect in Kelly (than Mahomes) in the 7th round.

Well we drafted a better prospect in the 2nd round. And my dad is better than your dad.

If they had wanted a QB who was more pro-ready, they'd have picked one of the ones that was available.

Obviously, they feel fine with Alex Smith in the short term and did not see picking a project QB high in the first round as an issue.

I don't think anyone should be concerned with Mahomes as a quarterback on draft day, my main concern is whether Andy Reid can develop him, being that there isn't much evidence of his ability to do that other than McNabb, who was from the pro-ready category, and that was closing in on 20 years ago.

The right coaching, offense, and personnel situation could certainly see Mahomes develop into a great QB. Time will prove if we have that.

What team trades up that far in the first round, for a QB project?

The one that traded two second round picks for Alex Smith, and thinks they can contend for a Super Bowl with him?

One that has the time to work on the development of a QB that they believe has elite upside.
