Got money in my pocket and no palmetto state daily deals that strike my fancy. WTF!
|

The only great deal they have had in months is the Aimpoint Pro for $356 (which is a damn good deal). SWFA had a weak (sigh) 8% off sale during tax day. Such a build-up, such fail. Midwayusa.com has had the best deals lately. They had Daniel Defense Lite rails on sale for $135. That's around 60-70% off. |

Anybody able to get their hands on the new 9mm Glock G43?
A buddy of mine just picked his up today. I've been looking for one online(for a non-ass raping price), but haven't had any luck. |

I would think under $500 is pretty good considering the demand. My buddy got his for $358 with the LEO discount. |

Palmetto has some good prices on their complete AR15 lowers. One of these days I'm gonna snatch up a handful of them, including a complete pistol lower.

For you reloaders out there....
If you were buying a turret reloader, what would you get? And if you were buying a progressive, what would your choice be? I am a newbie. I can get a Lee turret kit for $185 plus dies. OR a Dillon XL650 for $585 plus dies. Is it worth the extra $400 to crank out 2X amount of rounds per hour?? Thanks Posted via Mobile Device |
$42/K for CCI #41 primers a good deal in today's environment?
FleetFarm has 6K available. Use in 5.56 and 300 Blackout. Thanks Posted via Mobile Device |
Picked up a SCCY CPX-2 last week to carry in my T-Shirt holster. Best $260 bucks I've ever spent, tookj it to the range and it performs like a champ.
Granted, its no Sig, but it will get the job done on the cheap. |

Other guys vamp it out and will sit down and load all night long with singles and say they'd never spend the extra money, so I guess it's all in how you look at it. |

W296, H110, and IMR 4227 in stock this AM at Cabelas in Green Bay.
CCI 400 primers at $33/1000. CCI #41 at $38/1000. Other CCI primers on sale also. As a newbie to reloading, I was on my first buying trip. I've been reading for months that these powders were very hard to find. Probably won't see that luck again. Lets hope that good luck transfers over into reloading and I don't blow up a barrel as I figure out how to make subsonic 300 Blackouts. |
powdervalleyinc.com has varget and benchmark on sale every once in a while.
A store in Salida has a major hookup for powder. He has almost everything all of the time. They can not ship, though. |
Im down in Columbia at the MU law enforcement training institute doing a law enforcement firearms instructor course all of this week. Some of the most technical and difficult shooting I've ever done. Class starts at 730am and ends at 10 at night. Long days with homework afterwards. Its been a blast even though im exhausted. By friday I'll be certified to train LEO's in pistol and shotgun.

Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore has Glock G43's in stock for $549 if anyone is looking for one. Shipping is free.
http://www.sportsmansoutdoorsupersto...e-stack-pistol Its a little more than I want to spend. If it was $499, I'd be all over it. Heck, I still might buy it anyway. |
$50, and shipping is free - and you can get a gun made of pure unobtainium? Make your move, pilgrim.

It was $799 until their sale ended at noon on 5/4. They tend to have the 6920 on sale several times a year, but its usually the Magpul Edition. I recommend signing up for their email list. They usually have something good on sale. |
Anybody own a Springfield M1903? I've been losing interest in more modern guns and my interest has leaned toward WWI/II firearms. My next two purchases will be the Garand and 1903.
I'd like to buy them, shoot them once, and show them off. |
Quote:
I've got a 1903A3. I bought it to partially satisfy my urge for a M1 Garand, which I plan on getting some time this year. |
Dad had a 1903, he replaced the original stock and we shot several deer w/it over the years. Nice gun. 'Unsporterized' models are harder to find these days.

This is a good site for old military rifles. They're a tad pricy on most things, but you won't find a better selection. If you're patient, you can some find excellent deals.

Summit Gun Broker has some good deals going on right now. Check out their home page.
http://summitgunbroker.com Brand new Sig Sauer 229 .40 cal, w/3 mags and night sights for $545 (Buy 10 for $520 each) Remington 870 Wingmasters for $179 (Buy 10 for $165 each) Remington 870 Police Magnums for $320 (buy 10 for $295 each) I just called them, and they expect about 1,000 of the Rem 870's. They should get 700 Wingmasters and 300 Police Mags, all police trade -ins. The Police Mags will most likely have synthetic stocks and rifle sights. They expect the 870's to arrive some time later this month. I went ahead and put my name down for one of the new Sig 229's and a Police Mag. |

You're officially screwed, the evil has you in it's grasp. I've always thought everyone should be introduced to guns and shooting, even if they say they never plan to own one. At the very least the experience gives them some form of an informed opinion, and if the day ever comes where they need to use one that's laying in front of them they will at least be able to pick it up and appear to know how to use it. |
Got to get me one of those Kel Tec KSG's. You know, for home defense and looking cool.

God, I wish Lawrence had a dedicated gun store. I usually try to pick up 100-200 rounds of 9mm a month. But holy shit is it impossible to get help at the ammo counter at Dick's or Walmart.
I went to Dick's to buy 100 rds of 124gr FMJ 9mm and ended up walking out with a dozen Bridge Stone golf balls. |

Has anyone heard of Patrick Kilcherman and the Concealed Carry University? I'm not trying to put in a plug for them or anything, but I'm pretty impressed. I bought their training course called The Armed American's Complete Concealed Carry Guide to Effective Self Defense. Yes, the title is long, and the course was long as well. 7 DVD's and about 20 hours total. I found it actually very educational and had a LOT of good tips regarding everything from mindset to gear to training etc. It was very comprehensive.
I was curious if anyone else had heard of this guy, the organization or the program, and what you thought of it. I've got a lot of information now regarding concealed carry that I didn't have before, and I feel a ton more confident going forward. Honestly, if you haven't you should check this program out. |
Palmetto State Armory has a good deal on Federal 7.62x51 for $9.99 per box (20 rounds).

The fiveSeven is a hell of alot of fun to shoot.....little recoil....but it has some 'blast' to it, can make people flinch more even though it doesn't recoil. Really fun to shoot and shoots flat can be very accurate at range. Negative...ammo is kinda pricey but getting somewhat better. Reloading while technically possible is much more difficult than normal. Grip longer than many...if you have a small hand it could be an issue. But you also get 20 rounds standard and 30 rounds per mag extended. Overall really fun to shoot....and has the added bonus of pissing off many of the anti types. BTW they have the MK2(sold since 2013 I think) that has a different one piece slide and all black controls(gets rid of the nasty grey controls). |

For bullets not designed to tumble hollow points are useful....for bullets designed to tumble they don't provide much added benefit. The 5.7 bullet is long....when it tumbles it generates a significant wound cavity. Note sporting 5.7 ammo out of the fiveSeven won't reach high enough velocity to penetrate a IIIa vest. Out of the PS90 it will but not the fiveSeven. To penetrate soft armor with the fiveSeven you would need to use the LE ammo or in some cases very hot aftermarket ammo. |

The design is pretty cool....low recoil...high capacity and designed to tumble....just need more guns chambered for it! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FN_5.7%C3%9728mm Quote:

The picture actually made me go watch slow motion pistol shooting vids on youtube. These things move in the hand at the shot way more than I thought they did. Check out this guy's firmly supported 2 handed shot and compare the barrel angles from aiming to around the 25 second mark. |

I'm thinking of getting a mount and scout scope for my Mosin Nagant. I think I have the mount picked out, but do any of you have experience with long eye relief scopes? Any recommendations?

I like the way Russian gear looks, But in all honesty, a Zeiss 3-9 would probablywork well with a Nagant. |
Took the Kel Tec KSG out today. That thing is fun as hell to shoot. Birdshot had very little recoil while buckshot and slugs kicked like a mule. I'm going to have to find some low recoil buckshot and a recoil pad before my wife will shoot it.

Can you guys tell me anything about Hammers scopes?
Got a guy on a buy, sell, trade web page looking to sell his 6-24X50 with side focus adjust and in scope level bubble. Looked up the reviews on it and they're a bit mixed, many seem to love it but others had issues with theirs, though the manufacturer did make it right by replacing/refunding purchase price. |
Quote:
I am somewhat of a scope whore. What is your price limit and what are you looking for? |
Quote:
Not sure how interested I am after my own search. Reviews are mixed, some seem to really like it but there are a few that had problems. The guy wants $100 and I found them brand new for $170-220, so not a bad deal but not a great one either. |
