The question is to what level will he help?

Will he help them more than the two picks they will give up that will leave your team hurting BADLY in a couple years?

Pure and simple, you guys paid for a 27 year old quarterback with no injury problems and got a 32 year old quarterback with injury issues to his two most important parts of his body in relevance to his job.

If going to Oaklannd will suddenly help him not play scared to take a hit, or somehow increase his arm strength after his elbow injury.....more power to ya.

I, for one, hope the trade works out for you guys, I hate seeing our teams play each other as bad teams the last few and it would be really nice to see us with something to play for when we meet each other.

Part of the reason the Chiefs were where they were is because DV traded away early picks AND then also picked players like Ryan Sims.

You are going to have busts, everyone is..... but the key to having good young talent to grow and build is draft picks. And, the Raiders have two left next year, and are at least missing a second the year after that.

I don't care if Palmer sets the record in a game for passing yards.... it still isn't a good trade.

Now, if the Raiders win a Super Bowl with Palmer, then I will completely change my tune. Do you think that is happening?

If the Raiders win 1 playoff game with Palmer it'll be more than the Chiefs ever did since Reagan was in office
