Welcome to the thread.

I'm sifting through some of the posts, but I'm not going to read them all-- you don't have to repeat yourselves, I am caught up and will join from here.

Just be glad you endured the torture over a month period. My wife and I quit that show when season 2 was slow as hell. It's just not entertaining enough to warrant the investment of time, IMO.

So what exactly is the 'Revelation' show at 7 tonight? Another recap? Followed by a new episode...finally!!

And yet you're still posting? Haven't quite given up on it, eh?

Looking back at the dates of this thread, I can see how that long of a wait would have been torture... seeing it all in one month was the way to go, I think. It all fits nicely together. But had I watched it over the last 16 months or so, I think I would be very frustrated.

I'm kinda sad that I didn't wait to start watching it until the whole of season 2 was out on DVD. I just didn't realize how long it had been out already without closure.

I think from what I understand, that the revelation episode tonight is a kind of re-cap...
Next Episode:
Wednesday, Jan.11, 8/7c
"Lost: Revelation"
Discover the complete story of the grueling first 48 days on the island for both the fuselage survivors and tailies after the crash of Oceanic flight 815.

and then we get a real episode
Next Episode:
Wednesday, Jan.11, 9/8c
"The 23rd Psalm"
Mr. Eko interrogates Charlie about the Virgin Mary statue, Claire begins to lose faith in Charlie when she discovers his secret, and Jack is an interested observer when Kate gives the recovering Sawyer a much-needed haircut.

love triange-type things are going to ensue... some more

The writers will finally reveal that they have no idea what they are writing, or where any of this leads

I disagree

I could tell from the first episode that they knew exactly where it was going... take one example:
Episode 19 from the first season where Boone and Locke find the plane, and Boone uses the radio. He hears someone talking, and when you first hear it, you think, 'what? did he say something about a plane crash?' but you quickly forget about it when the plane falls and Boone is hurt.

Much later in season 2 episode 7, we get the other side of that radio transmission. It was from the tail end of the plane survivors. I saw that some of you in this thread feel that the tail end survivors were brought in to add more characters, but I disagree. We knew from the first episode that Rose's husband would be found. They way this show is, they don't put things in that don't mean anything. Rose was so sure for more than one episode that her husband was alive, and I believed her. I knew we'd see him at some point.

I think these writers have it planned out for at least five years, just like it says on the special features disc of season one.

Sorry angel, but those of us who have watched week-2-week from the pilot crash (pardon the pun), perhaps can see what you cannot. We've been to various supporting web-sites, heard all the tips and director tips et. al., and it's pretty obvious. They are now making this up on the fly, and it shows. I still dig the show, but it has definitely lost some luster.

sorry coryt, but I still disagree

because I've seen it all the way through without all the delays, I think my viewpoint is a little more fresh... I don't see how or why they would have so many of these plot points from the start without knowing where they would end up from the get-go
