Pfft. Talladega is good racing that reminds me of New England half mile modified racing.

Darlington however....

n00bs? shit! where?:spock:

I was at Stafford Springs watching the Bodine and Bouchard brothers run when you you were still a gleam in your daddy's eye. I met Bugsy Stevens.

I was spinnin tire wear and siftin oil pans on NASCAR modified cars while you were still wondering if Ms. Smith was giving out gold stars for spelling.

Al Bundy 04-14-2011 11:23 PM

I want Kyle Busch to win it all, mostly because I want to see Dylan explode.

Dylan 04-14-2011 11:47 PM

If Earnhardt doesn't win, we may see the entire state of Alabama riot.

Dega is scary to watch -- 200 mph -- cars inches apart -- at the mercy of another driver -- and we're on the edge of our seats, waiting for "The Big One"

Thank God, through all that carnage -- cars airborne -- tumbling and breaking apart -- everyone seems to survive unscathed... total craziness

Some history, I used to work for a nascar modified team when I was in HS. Basically cuz of my dad. He was this master mechanic. Goeff Bodine, Bugsy, Ronny Bouchard, they all hanged with him. Everyone knew my dad. So I got to paint headers, stripe tires, check oil pans, etc for a team driven by Joe Becker. His sons played ball. Randy was a FA with the Cowboys. Todd died falling out a window at Pitt where he was starting as a LB as a sophmore.

Anyway, our team was the second ever team to put Goeffs steering system in our car after Goeff himself. the car handled like a dream. But it was nadless. My dad pleaded with Bill (the team owner) to drop a 350 four bolt small block to replace the 327, but he wouldn't, so my dad walked. I miss working a team to this day.

Hendrick takes the first two rows for the race tomorrow (#24, #48, #5, #88). Nothing fishy there AT ALL.

Yeah, that upstart team came from nowhere to do that.

Old Dog 04-16-2011 12:25 PM

The 5th spot for tomorrow is Landon Casill (another Hendrick driver).
