we are where we are, and it comes down to this. Can the defending world champion Cardinals win an "all or nothing" game 5 on the road against the best team in baseball (at least recordwise) and arguably their best pitcher? If so, then we'll play in San Francisco on Sunday. If the Nationals can beat Wainwright in this type of situation, then they are the "better team" and deserve to move on to the NLCS.

I agree that it feels good to have him on the mound, but I would feel a whole lot better if we could find a way to put up some crooked numbers against Gio. We can't afford to let him get comfortable. Offensively, he is not a good match up for us.

Meh. Just a realist. They've won enough lately to hold me over for a while. I'm a bigger football fan anyway, so the Chiefs sucking ass always takes luster off a playoff run.

I'm in St. Louis for the weekend. Will get to watch the game with a partisan crowd tonight, which is a rare thing for me. Hopefully we'll win tonight and move onward and upward.
