Question:

Duffy should be stretched out enough. Using him tonight was a mistake, but it was a sunk cost. Granted, Young is probably on a short leash tomorrow night, but, given where you're at now, why not bring in Medlen over Herrera to save his arm and keep the Mets from seeing him again and then have Duffy backing up Young tomorrow night.

Because that would have been smart.

I don't know why everybody's so pissed about taking Duffy out. Duffy sucks. The real mind-boggling mistake was taking Hochevar out/putting Morales in. Can anyone explain this? Can Ned Yost even explain this?!

Problem when they brought Duffy in was Ventura was the leadoff next inning. I doubt any manager is going to put a guy in from the bullpen and then throw them in to bat. You guys got to remember the pitcher is batting tonight, it effects how you have to use a bullpen.
