Why is he even employed at this point?

Yeah I’m sure any coach would do this when their job is on the line LMAO

Or he could keep trotting out the shit that's proven to not work and get fired for it anyways. Eventually you have to try something else.

Other than Reids penchant for hating big changes to his defense, it beats the hell outta me

Best case scenario?

They go back to the "it's the talent" excuse, trade for Peterson, and then fire Sutton at the end of the year.

The new guy will have more to work with.

The Peterson trade makes too much sense. As it stands right now.....we have three CBs under contract for next season.

Trade for him and fire Sutton if you want. Dump Houston, Berry, and the other albatross contracts, even better. But the only way things change is if they learn how to draft defensive players.

Go back to the 4-3 and drafting defensive players becomes much easier.

The new guy has to be someone who makes personnel decisions, someone who knows how and who to build a defense with.

Sounds like Greg Robinson all over again.

It can be done...

I don't think you can play this "read and react" stuff anymore either. You've gotta be aggressive going forward.

It may have been just wishful thinking on my part. Bjt, did anyone else notice that Reid looked to be arguing with Sutton right after Gronk's last catch and the timeout we took? He didn't appear to happy and was letting him know it.

Anybody have a gif or video of this?

I'll repeat the same thing I've always said about Sutton and his schemes...

He gets by on the individual talent of his players. As long as a few of his star players go apeshit, he looks like a genius. Now, with injuries and age, there's not enough star power to prop up his mediocre coaching.

I think this is a fair analysis.

Smitty is the classic skapegoat. He was the toast of the NFL his first few years in the ATL as head coach. Smells like Dirk is serving up a sacrifice to the Mayan jobs to save his.
