Diamond Skin with the rune that Increases Max Damage Allowed is a get out of jail free card in Inferno. Personally I have max dps spec, familiar, magic weapon, crit energy bubble, diamond skin. I figure whats the point in having bubble when half the rare mobs are mortar, basically its a kill them before they kill you. I hate the venom hydra kite method, but its the only thing that has worked with rare mobs and bosses in Inferno so far. So I kite with Venom Hydra down doing its work and then if I get a second I turn around and toss an arcane orb at whatever is chasing me before I get rinse and repeat.

Thats pretty much my strategy and build as well. Although I've started using tele with fracture lately.

Whatever Mr. Badass. You hit single targets alot harder than i do. Most my shit is centered to crowd control.

but you live alot easier then i do (isn't saying much cuz you guys die easy also). while the demon hunter might hit hard, we are also the softest class. a wet fart kills us. but i been screwing off helping friends level and waiting for others to reach inferno to farm with. but with the talks of inferno being nerfed i figure it was time to grind and do it all so i can get it done before the nerf.

also for the record the demon hunter doesn't really hit as hard as it seems. a passive skill many of us use really inflates our damage numbers. without that skill i do like 40k damage.

I can't even use my best skills because they require me to stand still while using them, which just doesn't work.

imo the main thing saving DIII is how hard it is ... i hope they are careful about any nerfing.

They are quick to nerf strong skills and slow to strengthen useless ones. Maybe they should start with making all skills have a useful purpose.

in fact i don't think they should nerf inferno at all ... just strengthen some skills to give players a better chance.

Considering the game is designed around people buying gear off the AH and eventually the RMAH I doubt you'll see many game changing nerfs or buffs. It's a constant gear check and, as it stands, you can't progress through the game without using the AH.

I honestly don't have much hope for this game long term. The lead designer was a RTS game designer from Relic.

Right now I have yet to kill Belial in inferno because my gear simply wont allow it. But, I'm farming Act 3 inferno with a friend and I'm still not finding gear to upgrade.

i don't think the game is hard at all honestly. the only thing that makes it a pain is the cheesey crap they did. but there is nothing hard about any fights. the elites having immune bubble clowns blocking the main guy is not hard . it is total cheese that takes a lil luck an a lil kiting. i would say i am disappointed in how easy the whole game is honestly. making people die from air when nothing touches them isn't hard it is lame. i wish the fights were harder. yes we die alot in inferno but not because things are hard an they must be figure out an thought about. i really think the whole game needs to be reworked as it is a total failure an does not deliver anything that was promised

i just learned something in the diablo fight. i guess i never had issues with him before so i never had to pay attention. but in phase one it has become a joke now. if you do not touch the circle border in the middle of the map. he does not teleport. you can stay inside the center or outside. but if you touch the border he will teleport if you don't he just runs around like a herm.

I can now open hell ponys as well guys

Yeah my friends are tired of the BS too. The combinations that they give the rares is just dumb. Mortar, okay I have to constantly move but sometimes they mortar where I'm running to, thx blizz, Invulnerable... really? Vampiric, heals them up way too fast so when you get back to them you have to start from scratch. Sometimes these mobs have all of them, sometimes only two of them, but it always seems to be coupled with extra health or fast. Oh F off! These things kill with one or two hits when I'm in defensive skills mode wtf chance do I have when a bunch of fast aholes hit me twice and I'm done... It is pure cheese. So the options, grin and bare it and try not to break your keyboard or desk, lvl another toon as if I want to beat the game a fourth time that isn't Inferno or fifth or sixth for that matter, or you could just put the game away which I'm deciding what to do honestly. And the one thing that pisses me off the most is if someone comes to the blues and has a genuinely good question about why they think this is a good gameplay design they either answer so vaguely that you cant understand how they got off topic so easily or they just say we'll fix it... LATER!

Saulbadguy 06-05-2012 07:39 AM

Invulnerable is just ****ed.

Faced Belial for the 1st time last night. Think my HC WD was lvl 25 at the time.

Never seen him before. Didn't know what was coming. (I know that's not smart on HC)

At first I was thinking this is the easiest boss fight ever. My minions where keeping him busy. Then he shifted.

Wow my heart was pumping during that fight. Almost died twice and it was scary to think "this is it. The rides over". I'm panicking trying to find my "oh shit" buttons (health potion & spirit walk skill).

But it seemed like my minions either couldn't or were not doing really anything. I had to switch primary attack skill mid fight. I usually go left click Acid Cloud. That coupled with my army clears out a room pretty quick. But for boss fights I probably should focus on single target damage. Quickly switched to poison dart with splinters rune and that was much, much better.

Just barely pulled it off. Will admit, a little worried that I won't be able to finish this thing now. ;)

I'm going to start joining your games, teleporting to you using your banner, and rounding up huge angry mobs and bringing them to you.
