jesus soccer is stupid sometimes


players waiting for a free kick, chilean player pushes a swiss player in the chest/neck...with no force, not enough to even budge the guy

so, the swiss player does nothing, then 2-3 full seconds later he throws his hands up to his face and falls to the ground drawing a yellow card...

Now that....that is lame.

Don't blame that on soccer, blame that on the individuals or the culture. Soccer does not require doing that. Watch some high school matches and you don't see much of that at all.

i actually took the time to try to watch a soccer match..

It was exactly these types of plays.... guys falling down, tripping over themselves, jumping in front of another guy and then complaining when that guy mow's his ass down.... all drawing penalties on other people....

within 30 seconds i literally seen a guy trip over his own feet (they showed it in slow motion) and as he was falling, he threw himself to the side, got up, pointed at the other guy (who by then had the ball and was going unopposed to the goalie to take a shot) which drew a card and stopped the play...

complete drama BS sport....

LOL @ Portugal winning by a touchdown.

i love soccer, and understand the theatrics...this was just an egregious example of the worst quality....kinda like Floppin' Vlade Divac of the Kings...

EDIT: i'm not dissing your liking for the sport, i'm just saying that on the occasion i tried to watch it, i saw a LOT of acting skits that resulted in others getting flags for no reason.... it was too much...
