There is an unfortunate expectation from women in my age group (low to mid twenties) for men to be at least a little arrogant. I'm not that way naturally, but I've found that if I act that way at first, I get positive attention from far more women, and not just the trashy ones.

I appreciate your solidarity. For people with high standards (appearance and otherwise), it can become frustrating to go digging for gold when you're surrounded by silver and bronze. We all know that it will ultimately be worth it, but it doesn't make the process any less excruciating.

Pretty much. If I didn't have past experiences of failed relationships with amazing women to be followed by relationships with even more amazing women then I might lose hope. Still sucks to have to start over but it helps knowing it'll work out eventually.

I've heard that about the free sites. But, why would anyone pay if there would be the chance that the pay site would suck, too?

Ftr, I'm not on, (nor would I ever get on), an online dating site. It's just interesting to me that some sites are better than others. By "better" I mean that there is more of a selection of people that aren't bottom-feeders/psychos/stalkers/gold-diggers.
