"Ty Law: Closing in on a deal"--Patriots Scout.com site

The Patriots' Scout.com site wrote an article titled Ty Law: Closing in on a deal (go figure). The only clues to the article's contents that they're giving over on the War Paint Illustrated free site are that the article involves the Chiefs and that there's a better than 50/50 chance he'll be a Chief...whatever. I just figured I'd start a little football discussion. Sorry if this has been posted already.

You know, I would log into WPI, but I can't get the board admin to FIX MY FREAKIN' LOGIN!!!

Ty Law will never be a Chief

The Pats' site says Law's agents and KC have exchanged contract numbers and KC is the frontrunner. Nothing more than that, really. They put the timeframe of him signing within the next 10-14 days.

From what I read, Athan is being very careful this time. It sounded to me like the Chiefs have a great shot at Law.

morphius 07-06-2006 09:34 PM

Well, its not in 48 hours at least...

My guess, is he will be on someone's team on opening day-Herm

I really don't think NE wants Law that badly. They are in somewhat of a rebuilding mode defensively. They cut ties with Willie McGinest this offseason. Why would they bring in another older player?
