New QB debate

So, now that Plummer is no longer in Denver and Green is on his way out in KC... can we start the debates over who is better between Cutler and Huard?

I'm going to miss all of those threads with ... Plummer > Green and vice versa. We need to address this quickly as I don't want these grand QB debates to be lost.

Croyle >>> Cutler

Nice ... an entry for Croyle, so I'll start with Cutler > than any KC QB since there is so much up in the air.

Record and stats from last year indicate Huard. But, that was last year.
As far as who would I rate long term w/potential etc. Cutler?

King_Chief_Fan 03-22-2007 09:23 AM

I got a better idea. Let's talk running backs

Sorry guys, I have to say if I was making a choice right now, it would be Jay Cutler.

I guess I have more faith in Denver's system than ours right about now.

My dad can beat up your dad.

Just go buy a house in Denver, already.

This is like us comparing Bono to Elway, useless exercise.

Mile High Mania 03-22-2007 10:07 AM

I don't know if it's that dramatic, Logical.

KC needs to diversify the weapons for whichever QB takes the lead role, esp WR. Taking into how both Huard (for sake of this example) and Cutler did last year, both have huge potential. Looking at what Denver has done for the offense this offseason, I'm giving the big edge to Cutler right now for having great success in 2007.

The kid still has a lot to learn and nobody really knows what he can do, but it will be fun to watch.

KCF wanted to compare RBs... while I'll easily give the nod to LJ, I like my ability to debate better with Travis Henry now carrying the rock in Denver. I'm really optimistic about this offense finally having the 'one' RB mentality. Sure, Bell and others will get their shots, but the days of the splits are gone.

Jay Cutler always has that "mildly reeruned" look on his face.

Mile High Mania 03-22-2007 10:11 AM

Yeah, I think he's going to be one of those guys that still looks 20 at 40.

My comparison is more of the Stud vs Journeyman variety. Granted Cutler is still in the developmental phase of being a stud QB he definitely has the tools. Huard is and always has been nothing more than a journeyman much like Bono was back in the day. As to Croyle he is a complete unknown and mid rounder at that, he may or may not have starting potential though many on this BB would love you to believe he is a lock.

HemiEd 03-22-2007 10:22 AM

Cutler is the best football player in the NFL, no question about it. He is going to make Denver forget about Elway.
