My downloading never works...is it because I use firefox or what?

Firefox wouldn't be the problem. what happens when click on the link, or right click and save as..?

Right click on his link and select, "Save Link As"

It saves it into my pictures... it downloads forever and then it doesnt open.

Do you have something that can open .rar files?

It used to work, I have GC's defensive highlight video, the one with the Lord of the Ring's intro...but something happened i guess.

The file you are downloading is a compressed file, like a zip file, you have to open it with something that can, well, open it, then you can see the videos.
