for it??? I mean if he had an affair that is some what understandable as it happens. But to pay for it???

I thought this question was as relevant as the one asking why would Mrs. Spitzer stand by her cheatin dog, er, man. Why do men sometimes think with their head down south and not the one up north????

I'm sorry, he spent $80k dollars on prostitutes which is illegal. It's not just about the sex at that point. If he'd nailed his entire neighborhood then I wouldn't care. But what he did was illegal and hypocritical and just stoooopid.

My point was more to point out that Silda Spitzer was being questioned why she would do what she has done and yet no one here has asked by HE did. Her motives were noble and for her family while his were exactly the opposite.

I never liked the guy so I think it's funny he got caught. But I do feel very badly for his wife and daughters.

She is an educated, intelligent, and affluent woman. I am assuming that no amount of money is worth losing your dignity over and she made the decision in order to protect your family.

And instead of lying about it under oath...he accepted responsiblity and resigned to take his punishment.
