Dilemna Dilemma

Spell check says the 1st is unacceptable.

Not sure where dilemna came from. A quick Google search says that it's just plain wrong, but that many people were taught that way.

My wife is not an alumna of the school that teaches dilemna.

I was pretty well-read growing up, and I swear that it was spelled "dilemna". In the past year or two I've seen that the accepted spelling now seems to be "dilemma", which seems very coarse and uncouth to me. I try to use the double m's, but unless I really think about it the mn comes out.

I'm really glad that there's some question about it, because the double m really bothers me. I think some hackers got into the dictionary or something.
