The cap space figures we posted are based on the base cap of $120.6 plus any carryover, adjustments, franchise tenders, RFA tenders.

So how are the Cards in the Manning hunt?

Just talked to a reliable source in KC -- the Chiefs aren't out of it either. Productive meetings between KC and Peyton's people.

Look at all that money Clark won't spend. It's a shame we couldn't fit Carr under the cap. What a joke.

****ing Denver.

The Arizona Republic reports the Cardinals will release LT Levi Brown if the sides can't agree to a new deal before Brown's $6 million roster bonus is due on Monday. All signs have been pointing toward Brown hitting the open market, and a breakthrough in talks with the Cardinals does not appear to be on the horizon. Releasing Brown would clear roughly $14.5 million in cap space. Although he struggled mightily in 2011, Brown could find a nice payday in a thin market for tackles. Mar 11 - 8:57 AM

That still works against him because Manning isn't going to want to go some place with no offensive line. We should sign Brown at RT.
