Any of you guys doing the Waldo Pub Crawl this weekend?
 

Taking my nephew out since the lil bastard is getting married and we're doing the Boulevard Brewery Tour and then later the Waldo Pub Crawl and starting at Waldo Pizza.Just checking to see if any CPer's will have their drink on this Saturday. :toast:

Those things are sometimes more of a pain in the ass than fun. It should be fun with a nephew though. get him drunk and talk him out of getting married.

If anyone is planning to hang around after the crawl, 77th and Wornell is a notorious DUI checkpoint, FYI.

I doubt they have one in the Waldo area, probably a deal with the city not to piss off revenue generators, similar to Royals/Chiefs games. Could be one going back into Kansas or north of the river, though.

We used to have a Santa pub crawl in December where a guy dressed like an elf would ask the bartender if he was willing to buy Santa a drink. When he said yes, the elf would yell "come on in, Santa!" and a busload of people dressed like Santa would come in for their free drink.

Of course the entire Des Moines metro is wise to it now, but its gotten huge, with girls dressed like sexy elves and reindeer and guys dressed like Santa.

Say what? Do you even know what trolling means? The ones they have here are a pain in the ass to deal with versus simply going to the bars on a normal day. No doubt about it.

I'm actually wearing a porn shirt a friend gave me from Vegas a few years ago with all kinds of XXX art on it.Don't get a chance to wear it very often but when I do it gets the comments and photo ops.

That Santa thing is funny as hell though,I'm sure we'll see some sights as they're having contests for costumes and the like,

Man, if I still lived in Waldo I'd join you. I could walk stagger home afterwards.

I've been in some of those bars and they're pretty small.
