quick point of note...notice that ball 4 to Pillar was a strike..the overhead showed it clearly crossing the plate

OH, Relive. Thought you said "relieve" and I began getting comfortable.

I did the exact same thing about 5 seconds before they showed Brett doing it. My heart was going like a machine gun.

I fell like yesterday was a day of nervousness, followed by 3 hours of sheer terror, followed by shocked elation.

Today is the day I'm really enjoying it all. I've read about half the internet so far, gonna finish the rest and get drunk. Then watch the Sung Woo 30 for 30 short.

I'm really not used to my teams being in these types of games. I get so worked up it almost makes me appreciate the Chiefs never giving me hope lol. I'm sure once you get a fresh one it doesn't make you feel like "we have to win NOW!" When I watched in 85 youth carried me through. As a middle aged man I question if this shit is healthy.

I need it I feed off that.

I'm lucky enough to say I was there. I don't go to a lot of games because it's always a roll of the dice, but that was one that I will never, ever forget. The scenario, the crowd, our team, their team, the way everything happened.

I hate to say that seeing one game in person changed me because I've always been a Royals fan, but experiencing that will get me through another 30 years of dogshit (as much as I hope it doesn't come to that).

Their were so many moments of exuberance, but one stood out - feeling everyone hold their breath while they stared at the ball Hosmer hit, and as soon as it landed fair, you could feel everyone shift back to see Cain rounding 3rd, that alone was worth being there.

If I had anything in my stomach while Donaldson was at bat, I would have thrown up all over my TV. I was sitting on a footstool 2 feet away from it. :)

That is awesome.

Bob Dole was sitting on his tailgate in a hotel parking lot about 4 miles east on I-70 during last year's WC game. When the Royals did something good, you could hear the crowd.

For those who haven't seen it, they finally got around to showing Cain's historic run on MLB Tonight. Top speed was 20.7 mph.

And while most base runners slow down, each of his bases took less time than the previous.

After the play I asked the guy next to me "uh, WTF is Hosmer on 1st after all that?!" LMAO

The place was so ****ing nuts, I got wrapped up in watching Cain and didn't even see how quickly Bautista fielded it or him throwing it to the wrong guy... I had a perfect view down the line and knew it was fair, just kind of figured Hosmer had a double and Cain would score from 1st.
