Sorry to bug CP again...need names for kittens
 

We just rescued 3 lil barn kittens. I will not go into the whole story, but RESCUED. One had to have an eye ball removed, other prolly going to be blind in one eye, rhinovirsus. The other, male, healthy as a horse. They are 8 weeks old. All short haired. The girls are calico (ones with eye probs) and the boy is black.

So, I need names. We like weird names...with special meaning. We haven't had them long enough to know their personalities...so batter up (Royals ref)

Male: black is Tyron or Bart

Girls: popeye (missing eyeball) and or Bart Simpson sister Maggie, Lisa and Marge.

We in the past have named the barn cats after the Flinstones...Barny, Betty, Fred...and had one Bam Bam. Done that.

After talking with wife, think we are going after the Simpsons (thou I have never watched a full episode)

Thus it is Bart, Maggie, and Lisa.

I like Bart, Maggie, and Lisa. Those are good names.

You want good standalone names. Sadly, cats have finite life spans, and you don't want to give them "group names" where it'll be obvious that part of the group is missing if one of them lives longer than the others. For example, Hop, Skip, and Jump would be bad.

But "group names" are fine as long as each one is a high quality standalone name. Archie, Veronica, and Betty could be good. Or maybe go with group names that are themed but independent, such as Thor, Persephone, and Venus.

I also think it's good to treat them each as individuals and give them the names that best suit their personality and dignity. For example, Winston, Guinevere, and Marilyn.
