This dude is sketchy as ****. Idk if I would risk it. Hope Veach has done his homework bc this guy would be a really big risk. |
Undersized short armed 4.53 40 CB with baggage. Nah. Don't need it.
|
Wonder if he'll pull a La'el Collins if he falls past the 3rd
|
I try to not be judgmental, but Hughes did not exude confidence on NFLN the other night. Nervous body language, speaking in vagaries with some “canned” responses to the questions about his UNC tenure.
I get that these prospects aren’t polished when it comes to media relations/exposure, but he sure did not create a favorable impression for himself. I personally am more enamored by his return ability than his coverage skills. There are better pure corners than Hughes in this draft. I would not reach for him all things considered. |
|
Maybe now we know why the Chiefs were scouting him hard, because he might actually drop to the point where they could get him.
Bad interviews and off the field stuff would make me want guys more. I don't give a shit if he sucks at being interviewed if he can play football. |
Hughes, Holton Hill, Arden Key and Antonio Callaway are all top round talent that could fall to Chiefs.
|
The buzz around the NFL is that the Chiefs want this guy & are willing to trade up to get him.
He wouldn’t be my first choice at CB. |
What "buzz around the NFL"

I listen to several different radio shows around the country in addition to draft podcasts. I’ve heard it mentioned over 5 times today. Not saying it’s true but where there’s smoke there’s fire. |

Sure |
Man, I hope not.
I think I'm good on troubled defensive backs. |

Would rather have the non-sketchy CBs who are way better.
I just don't like Hughes. His play on the field, that is. I don't see a starting CB out of him. |
