Banner getting all kinds of notice. Whitlock wants in on billboard
From the news last night to sports talk shows. The Banner has been mentioned more times than I can count. On KCTV 5 it was even mentioned by the regular news crew, not just the sports peeps.
Heard on the radio this morning that supposedly Whitlock is willing to donate $600 for a billboard in Dallas telling Clark to fire Pioli. |
Have you heard the banner mentioned independent of the "classless fans" who cheered when Cassel got hit?
I haven't, and that's unfortunate. |
Sweet!!!!!!!!!
|
They are talking about it in Wichita, Bob and Bruce on KFH.
|
Yeah, the plane was cool, but only lasted an hour. The billboard would last at least a month, no?

Billboards don't work. Just as Oakland.

Dan has enough money in between the cushions of his couch toe cover the billboards expenses.
|
We need to fly the banner in Dallas during business hours near where Clark works.
|
The billboard should simply be a running clock since the last time KC won a playoff game.

We should'nt focus on trying for Clark to see the banner live in action (that's going to be tough), but we want to embarrass him in the national media until he makes change. |

We thank Whitlock for his donation. We make no promise about a billboard in Dallas. The money will go where we decide. If that is not good enough and the money from Whitlock is earmarked for billboard use only, I will not cash the check. He has to let me know though.

Not that I'm surprised. Mr. Chiefnj2 is always coming up with great ideas. Excepting, perhaps, his 300 psi Air Compressor Super Enema Attachment. FAX |

If anything, he drops the race card too often, but a lot of times when he talks about the "hip hop culture" and all of that, I even tend to agree with him there. |
Fly it over one of Clark's soccer games.

Also, add a running clock since our last Super Bowl win. |
While running a clock from last playoff victory seems a good idea in theory. In practice it will need to be up for far too long for us to fund it~

I never stipulated how the money had to be spent. Fescoe added that on the radio. I don't care how you spend the money. My preference is a banner in Tampa. Keep the movement going and I will donate again.
Fire Pioli and Eric Winston! |

i work about an hour north of Wichita. |
You know, it appears that I've been wrong about Jason Whitlock. I think I owe him an apology. He's stepping up to the plate and that speaks volumes as to where his heart is (belly joke excluded here).
I'm not oblivious to the fact that, should Pioli be canned, it will have proven Whitlock right and make a very nice article. However, any potential self-interest should not diminish the value of his support ... especially now, at this crucial time. So, please accept my apology Mr. jwhit. I have much to learn about peeps and their strange ways. FAX |
I should have a column on foxsports posted in the next hour or two. It's good.
|
Excellent. Good to hear.

No need for apologies. Think whatever you want. It's America. I've always believed in keeping heat on management.

Whitlock brought up race/social economic issues far too often when they weren't necessarily warranted at times. Having that said many of his articles are spot on when it comes to the Chiefs and management. I always enjoyed reading his articles whether I agreed with them or not. The Star is missing it's firepower (at least in the sports section) and no one really buys print media anymore unless you're from the older generation. If any national media knows what us Chiefs fans are going through it's him...and if he's willing to donate towards what we're trying to do here then that's flat out awesome!!! And if I read correctly on the banner thread he donated $600??? Damn...we should be more appreciative towards him for as much shit this board has given him over the years.

Tampa fly over sounds good but we need an airplane connection down there.

It's plausible if the committee of "the movement" wants to spend our money on that, but I think they are awaiting the Raiders game. |
I'm not sure what a fly over in Tampa would accomplish.

It is unprecedented. |

People need to know about this loyal fan base from someone who knows us and squash this BS fabrication from some noob false startin olineman. |

Granted, these are large market teams, but still... I think flying over an opposing stadium is a big statement. (Tampa may not be the best place to do it, but we have momentum and traction right now. We are all over the news at the moment and by the time we get around to a large market away game, ESPN may be blowing Tebow all over again.) It's not like the movement hasn't raise the money for it. |

But yeah. flying over the Pit and SD games would be a lot better since they are national games.
|
I could see planning a flyover in the 2nd San Diego game having some effect.
|
It's magnificent to have a nationally renowned journalist on our side.
It's goddamned downright marvelous. |
